My God is better than your God. Believe how I believe or you will suffer eternally.

A lot of people legitimately feel that they have been abused or deceived by organized religion. Others cannot overlook the fact that organized religion has been used as an excuse or a front to kill.

Many of them may really be slamming hypocrisy even though they appear to be lashing out at a particular religious body or several of them.

I see nothing wrong with expressing one's concerns about a religion in a lucid and logical manner. Many of the concerns of the individuals may be able to be justified.

I do not think that all of these people are evil. They are just hurting, I suspect anyways.

Probably because they don't know the true meaning of their own beliefs. No matter what religion to believe in, most are teach patience, love, kindness and charity. It's hard to believe that the people who are slamming other religions have time for patience, love, kindness and charity. They could make better use of their time out serving others. Teaching by example is far more effective than trying to cram something down some one's throat. Besides, has anyone really changed their mind about anything from reading the answers here?

Ignorance would be the most likely answer. For the most part, when I tell people that I am Muslim, they half-expect me to have a bomb strapped to my chest. I can honestly say that I stand against what the Shi'a regime is doing to my fellow brothers and sisters of Islam in the Middle East, and towards the Jews and American soldiers over there as well. However, most people don't understand that Islam truly is a religion of peace, and because of their lack of understanding, they fear and hate it.

I don't believe in turning the other cheek; people slander my religion and send me hate mail because I don't worship the Christian God, why shouldn't I point out some of the obvious flaws in theirs? Besides that, it's fun.

Waste their time, is an understatement...don't you agree? When someone is raised, believing in their own beliefs, only their own desire to change, will ever change the way they think.

Because it gives them a false sense or superiority and security. Probably compensates for something else that is missing in their lives. They don't realize that if you can't respect others, you don't really respect yourself.

Because they think their way, can only be the right way. Maybe its fear, and they are trying to save our soul, or maybe they just don't like religion period. There are many reasons.........I assure you.
