Mine is the egg trinity. Three parts that make a whole. Shell, white and yolk are all separate but part of one egg. Problem with this is that Jesus is supposed to BE god, and a yolk is not an egg. It is part of an egg.

No explanation of the trinity here, that is because they are three separate beings:
God the Father,
Jesus the Son (also a God),
and the Holy Ghost (also a God).
One in purpose, but the Father and the Son can no more occupy the same body or space than any other father & son.

I am sorry but the Holy Trinity is NOT 'three parts that make a whole' at all, but it is 'three aspects of one God' ... God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit ... and since that is something that 'only God' 'can do' then your 'egg as trinity' explanation is 'bogus' ...

Like any analogy, the egg is going to fall short. No analogy can ever include every fact and facuet of the real thing.

If you want the actual thing, you will have to go to the original source - the Bible. Runs about 3.6 million words in 66 volumes.

That's why most of the time we try to use short analogies instead.

This is a Religious section, you question is not asking, but declairing the Holy trinity as bogus right off the bat.

This kind of narrow minded questioning leads to people behaving in un-Christian ways.

If you want to debate, then ask a question without insulting other's beliefs.

All you are doing with this type of question is showing immaturity, and spreading mis-conceptions.

Peace!

you will never understand it - I dont mean just you I mean none of us will ever be able to fully understand it - we have no reference for the trinity so there is nothing that will be able to compare it to directly - we trust it is true and have faith that we will fully understand in the next life
