In another question regarding Hell's nightlife, many responders have said that Hell is devoid of all light and is in perpetual darkness....

How can it be dark in Hell when Hell is filled with a LAKE OF FIRE?? A freakin matchstick produces enough light to see where Im walking - wouldnt a lake of fire light the whole place up?? How does one burn for eternity in a Lake of Fire without there being some kind of light around?

In one of my theatre classes we were discussing and doing cold readings from a play called "The Laramie Project". It's a play about what happened to Matthew Shepard. To those of you who don't know, Matthew Shepard was beaten beyond recognition, and then dragged out to a field and tied to a fence and abandoned by his attackers. He hung on that fence for six days until he finally died.

Then as if that wasn't enough, people PICKETED his funeral!!! What kind of scum do we have on this Earth??? What in the world were they protesting against anyway? I mean, usually people protest because they want something. What did these people want from a boy who was murdered? Did they not want him having a funeral or something? What was it?

I try to be positive about life. I believe people are generally good, but are easily corrupted, yet easily made better too. But I don't know what kind of "corruption" would make anyone beat a man half to death & then string him up like a side of veal!

Persecution involves taking a privilege away from a certain group of people and not others.

What other religions have their god(s) or goddess(es) in the United States pledge? Allah? Ra? Any of the Greek gods? How about the Hindu ones?

Why do some people claim taking “God” out of the pledge is a form of persecution against Christians when no other gods from other religions are even mentioned in the pledge?

Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow)
15. Allâh mocks at them and gives them increase in their wrong-doings to wander blindly.
27. Those who break Allâh's Covenant after ratifying it, and sever what Allâh has ordered to be joined (as regards Allâh's Religion of Islâmic Monotheism, and to practise its legal laws on the earth and also as regards keeping good relations with kith and kin ), and do mischief on earth, it is they who are the losers.28. How can you disbelieve in Allâh? Seeing that you were dead and He gave you life. Then He will give you death, then again will bring you to life (on the Day of Resurrection) and then unto Him you will return.

I am not going to convert to Islam, yet I wonder if anyone else here has taken a look at what is provided at a site such as the link?
I have noticed some very peculiar things as regards Islam, can anyone here provide anything they have found without being nasty or judgemental?

God has a plan for your life and knows your future, but is it possible for you to screw that up? Like say God had an ideal mate, job and lifestyle for you but you made the wrong decision would God eventually lead you back to what he had for you?

Did you know that the school system in America was founded by Christians and that now nonbelievers act as if it was something they started and want to tell them what to do in schools that is hypocrisy if you ask me. What do you think about that.

The Bible - How can one prove it is real, unless they have been touched supernaturally by the one who inspired it?

God - How can one proove a supernatural being, that is not physical?

Can You not do so ... unless the one you are ministering to literally experiences God [a supernatural being] personally?

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Aside from a premonition one day about the next, has anyone here felt, for many years, about when they are going to die? If so, has anyone here thought they were going to die at a certain age but then lived past that age?

It might be because they use the same part of their brain to process evolution as they do to process their religion. They see evolution as a challenge to genesis and therefore, an equivalent opposing force. This is where the trouble is because evolution is NOT an equivalent to religion. One can’t use the same brain function to process a scientific hypothesis and spirituality. It’s like using a sieve to transport water.

What do you reckon?
