All the religions being discussed here are hundreds of years old. Surely some new advances have been made in the field of religion. Are there any new religions, founded in the last fifty years or so? I don't want to worship something made up by a bunch of dead guys - I want to worship something made up by modern humans.

When Christians tell you they are going to pray for you, how does that make you feel? Do you get angry or are you glad or indifferent. Personally I thank them. I think any positive enery directed at me must be good. But I am just curious what others think about that.

In the case of God,the argument of pascles wager is really nothing but an excuse for people not to be obedient,humbl&submissive to God, right?

Truth is truth;the choices are God or Satan;Heaven or Hell;so pascles wager or not,becuase everybody has a spirit,the spiritual world is gonna affect&does affect everyone.So do people really think that when they stand before God,do they think that the excuse of pascles wager is gonna fly with God?

If an entity causes more harm than good, was I wrong to force him out of my presence? Was I wrong to reject the negativity he caused into my life by discontinuing our relationship?

How many religions practice exorcism, and why do they do this?

SOMEONE STATED THAT

''The Bible describes three emotionally close relationships between two people of the same gender. They appear to have progressed well beyond a casual friendship:

* Ruth and Naomi
* David and Jonathan
* Daniel and Ashpenaz

Daniel’s relationship appears to have been a committed homosexual partnership; the others may or may not have been sexually active.

There may be as many as three references in the Bible to committed homosexual relationships, none of which was condemned. ''

IS THIS TRUE?

Okay, you win....here goes.

I am reading from the book of Poseidon, Chapter 2, Verse 3

“For verily I say unto to you dudes of the land, sea, and air, hear my words and rejoice, for thy Lord and thy God, the Blue God under the Sea, is with thee always.”

Isn't that beautiful?

to the ones who said separation of church and state is the way, which I agree, people should just be free to do what they wish, school was founded by christians so if people dont want to pray dont pray then but dont butt in to those who do, why is it right for people to say that prayer and the bible is not allowed in schools, isnt that violating separation of church and state, especially since school was founded by christians. to those who want the source of the first school here.

is it that hard to see the good from real believers in christ, all those terrible things people always list are not from true believers in christ anyone can say i am a christian, that means nothing if it is against word of God. Slavery, murdering innocence, burning people. That is not from God but man.

Note: I am atheist and have no religious views one way or another. So the question posed is....how can you prove you religion is correct and true. Example: You could have a representative from EVERY religion in the world sitting in your living room claiming their religion is correct and if you choose any of the others you will burn in hell or some other horrible thing will happen to you... (some exception of course.) Saying that your holy book says it so that makes it true is not an answer... I could write a book that says I'm god, that doesn't make it true. Please...intelligent answers.....think it out, don't be a parrot!

Actually I was meaning Ra the Sun god, I pray to him every day as he is the sun god and creator. There is proof of existance as there is the Book of Ra and the Book of Anubis (God of the dead), etc. Those books are the words of the Gods.
