SOMEONE STATED THAT
''The Bible describes three emotionally close relationships between two people of the same gender. They appear to have progressed well beyond a casual friendship:
* Ruth and Naomi
* David and Jonathan
* Daniel and Ashpenaz
Daniel’s relationship appears to have been a committed homosexual partnership; the others may or may not have been sexually active.
There may be as many as three references in the Bible to committed homosexual relationships, none of which was condemned. ''
IS THIS TRUE?

Yes that is what it says alright. The bigots will come up with some excuse why your "interpretation" is wrong.
See, what did I tell you? They are so predictable!

No, it's false. If you study the verses in context and compare the other texts from Scripture that refer to these individuals, you will discover that. Also, if you read the passages in the original Hebrew you come out with the same conclusion. None of these folks had an immoral or "same sex" love relationship. The Bible NEVER says that David and Jonathan had intercourse... where did you get that??? I would encourage you to not to believe everything you are told. Hey, don't take my word for it... pick up a good translation of the Bible and think for yourself! It's a free country.

These people were not in homosexual relationships. In Genesis homosexuals in Sodom and Gommorrah were killed by Almighty God, Jehovah. Genesis chapters 18 and 19 account. He made it rain sulphur and fire. It destroyed all the people except Lot and his daughters who escaped safely with God's angels. Even the plants of the ground were destroyed. That is why the act is called Sodomy because of the name of one of the cities. 1Corinthians 6:9, 10 says homosexuals will not inherit God's Kingdom. Verse 11 says but that was what some were but they accepted Christ and changed. They put on the new personality Ephesians 4:22-32.

No. You are obviously reading those references with an unstoppable intent to FIND the homosexual reference, or you are listening to someone who is changing things around.
If you want to think Homosexuality is okay, then think it. This is America. But do not try to make the Bible bend to your view.
The Bible is explicit in many places that those who live that lifestyle are condemned. That's what the Bible's view on that is.
If you disagree then by all means, disagree, but don't try to twist the story of David and Jonathan into some sort of ancient BC Brokeback Mountain.

I am not really sure but what I do think is perfectly clear is how God feels about homosexuality, as clearly evident in the book of Genesis, with the story of Sodom & Gomorrah... Chapter 19.
Genesis 19:4-7
4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."
6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, "No, my friends. Don't do this wicked thing.
Genesis 19:24-25
24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.
God destroyed it all because of the homosexual immorality there. I think that explains Gods view of homosexuality quite well!

it continually amazes me how some people interpret the Bible incorrectly because they imagine God reported it. Leviticus 18:22 states "You shall no longer lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it is an abomination." also, the recent international Translation says "Do you no longer recognize that the depraved received't inherit the dominion of God? do no longer be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor gay offenders nor thieves nor the grasping nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the dominion of God." And so, it obviously talks about homosexuality. although, it says that the action of homosexuality, no longer extremely BEING gay, it is the sin/abomination. Any gay has the flair of manufacturing a baby. it is only their hormones that think about the different route (to the same gender). to assert it is "unnatural" is deeply offensive and fairly closed-minded because no longer only is homosexuality stated in different species (like dolphins and binobo monkeys), it is how they're. someone would not grow to be "unnatural" even as they're interested in the same sex, only diverse from social norms.

Absoloutely NOT, those people did NOT have homosexual relationships with eachother. I've read the accounts of all of them, and no where did I read where there might have been even the slightest hint of that.

No it is not.
-Ruth was a widowed daughter and Naomi was her mother in law.
-David and Jonathon - David was definitely not gay...this is the David who committed adultery with Bathsheba.
-Daniel was not gay. He was thrown into a lions den .
