If an entity causes more harm than good, was I wrong to force him out of my presence? Was I wrong to reject the negativity he caused into my life by discontinuing our relationship?

How many religions practice exorcism, and why do they do this?

I'd have the say the Christian god is the most selfish because he seems to basically just tell his followers to kill and/or look down upon those who do not believe in him as well, and if Christians are any indication, he's depicted as just as much of a devil as Satan is.

And no, if you're talking about god screwing your life up then it's completely within your rights to push him out of your life. Especially since he doesn't exist anyway.

What other God is there that is able to do anything. Is the god that you are speaking about made with hands? Do you worship the mother earth? I would be self to if my creations started worshipping rocks, something that can't go anything but be. That sounds crazy to me. God give humans choices. He does not make you do anything. The evil that is done is by choice. No one forces a person to kill, steal, etc., it's a choice. If you did not have some instructions on life, you would not know right from wrong. Or maybe you think it is ok to steal unless someone does it to you. Where do you think america get its laws from? You will go to jail for killing, stealing. Maybe you are into wife swapping? Having sex without being married? You can get a ticket for running a red light. You got to have something to be governed by. Just look at how some people are acting, and it is going to get worse. If you can believe what is being taught out of anybook, you can surely believe in the Bible. It is the only book I know of that what it say will happen, has come to past. This book was written so long ago, and everything that is states will happen will happen and has happen. That is how you can tell if something is real or not. Any negativity that has happened in your life, most of it was because of something you did. God does not make you do anything. He did not tell anyone to bomb the building on 911, man did that on his own. He did not make robots; he made people and gave them free will.

My personal option based on experience praying to and worshiping different Gods, is that YHVH is the most hostile and belligerent deity, he really does not like having to share his worshipers with anyone else. Very jealous and very demanding.

No, it is not wrong of you to force a negative being from your presence and discontinue a religion with a God that is harming you. It's the only course of action.

And anyone who says Odin has obviously never studied Norse Mythology or actually worked with him! He is anything but selfish or unfriendly. The Norse beliefs have a whole pantheon of Gods, they were not monotheists.

I don't know much about the other religions, but just hypothetically speaking, the God presented in the bible is the most selfish...actually there is a verse in the bible where God even says that about himself..."for I am a selfish God ..."

Lots of questions. There are lots of gods (little g) and only one true God (diety) - sorry to tell you but the others are fakes - posers - wanna-bes. They are "gods" to those who elevate them to that status and worship them - just as the golden cow was a "god" - (but really it was a hunk of precious metal!)

"Resist temptation and the enemy will flee".

"Exorcism" is usually referencing a ritual being practiced in the Catholic Church. Many, however, still cast out demons from the inflicted - every time they come up against one.

Hope that is helpful.

Jehovah is definitely the most selfish. He has forced out all the other gods and set himself up as supreme ruler of the Universe, demanding that we worship him only. His followers denounce all other gods as demons or fakes and relentlessly persecute their followers.

The Christian god is the most selfish fictional character out there right now. He want you to love, worship, and follow him and NOBODY but him. If you do not do as the almighty lord master king of crazy people say you will burn in hell forever.................but he loves you.

....There is NO such thing as God or gods, or Jesus, or Buddah,,,Allah........Mohammed or whoever the heck else I miss.

Puppets follow gods because they lack logic and have no control over thierselves.

One more time you crackpot puppet loser of Christianity.....

THERE IS NO GOD.

Hey! Who said one God couldn't be friends with another? As a matter of fact, Zeus, God, and Allah are GREAT friends.
