Here lies the problem, Many Great Religions have supported war and have blessed the troops on both sides and miss-led the people to think that its justified. But few people have followed the scriptural information about wars that Jesus and his followers proclaimed . See James Chapter 4:1-4 It cannot be any plainer than that? When they captured Jesus he stopped one of his followers from using the sword. See Mathew 26:48-52

Because supposedly Jesus told Peter (then recorded into what we know as Revelations) that in the End Times there will be a Great Battle in which the Christians will rise up and fight evil. Brother would fight against brother, nation against nation.
Ever since then, the Christians have been using this as their reasoning to fight "evil." This is why it is a perpetual End Times. There was the Dark Ages, the Crusade, the World Wars. Almost every war is justified by this.
Why, Peter? Why?

Jesus had no need to. He tried hiding from the crowds to keep them from crowning him king and forcing a confrontation w/ the Roman occupying army. Why? He told Pilate that his kingdom was not of this world - so why fight.
FYI - there are 4 Hebrew words for kill, two are CSI murder type connected to the commandment. One of the other two is for war - a tool to eradicate evil or gain protection. The other is similar albeit on a smaller level of execution by state authorities.

Amen. I'm a Christian and Bush isn't. Jesus would never have led a war. If He was going to he certainly would've freed the Jews from the Roman rule in His time, which is what they thought He was going to do. But He chose to battle things spiritually instead.

This is the result of the ignorance of the religion believer.
A true peace loving religion would never feel war can be justified. Aren't all the religion teaching us peace and love? How can war be justified where life are losing, people became homeless, have to starv, etc...and these peope still can go around to spread the word of 'peace and love'...
Those religion alway say 'love the neighbour as thy do', and the other hand, they feel that war can slove any and every problem, if it really the case, we would slove every problem as we have seem many war declared.

using violence became strictly condemned by skill of Christ, and because Christians are meant to stay with the classes of Jesus no real Christian can kill yet another person. bear in mind God is love, and love isn't violent. The previous testomony could be used to justify warfare, yet as a Christian you at the instant are not below the regulation (previous testomony, Judaeism) you're below the covenant of grace (new testomony, Jesus)

Jesus told Pilot " My kingdom is not of this world;if my kingdom were of this world ; then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews...." John 18:36. If Christians were meant to fight looks like this would have been the time.

Because His Kingdom isn't of this worldly order. He has an everlasting Kingdom, consisting of all who believe in Him. He is the KING of Kings.
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil so that we may have life and have it more abundantly.
