"A real Christian is one that believes exactly the way I do. Everyone else are fakes." - Typical Christian response.

Yes, many can agree on what a real Christian is, but it doesn't matter what they "agree" on. What matters is what the bible says about a real christian.

A real Christian is someone who has repented and they trust in the word of God as their hope and salvation. At the time of conversion they are justified before God, and as they walk, their ways become more and more righteous (morally good). They do continue to sin from time to time, but no one sin has a mastery over them. If there is a repetitive sin, then they should worry.

Christians should also grow in love. They should love God first, then others. Love can be expressed in many ways. Sometimes it's tough love, and sometimes it's gracious and gentle love.

Christians must be doctrinally sound as well. There are core fundimentals that must be understood to actually call yourself a Christian. Many are decieved by bad doctrine, and care more about a feeling or money than they do Christ.

1 John is an entire book whose purpose is to know if you are a Christian. There are a number of points that you can use as a "test" to know if you are walking in the light.

I've met thousands of them. Would you say the same thing about Americans? There are no real Americans because nobody can agree on what an American is?

"Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of the Lord abstain from wickedness." (II Timothy 2:19)

A real christian would strive to be more like Jesus and not like a band of Pharisees or like TBN and the 700 Club who does good deeds and then pats them selves on the back.

A real christian does not try to blend in with the ways of the world in ways that is wicked and unrighteous.

A real christian expresses unconditional godly love not hatred towards others and does not have pride in one self.

Those who claim to be christians and does not believe these things that I just said are not true christians but they are as Jesus has said,"Ye are vipors of men."

A real Christian, according to the Bible is a person who believes in Jesus Christ as the Son of God - God is the Heavenly Father and Creator of all things in, on, and around this world - The Bible is the infallible word of God.

Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross, died, and rose again for the forgivness of our sins and Will come back one day to take all the who believe and acknowledge Him to their eternal life. The Bible does not say that we - the believers - will enter Heaven. It does say that we will have eternal life. In Revelation it tells us about New Earth and New Jerusalem - that is where the faithful will be in the presence of God and Jesus Christ for all eternity. The Only one's who ever got to Heaven are God and Jesus Christ.

A real Christian is anyone who believes in Christ, that his death took away all our sins and that He was resurrected. Christians celebrate Christ's birth on Dec. 25-we call it Christmas. The part that has become skewed is that gifts were brought to baby Jesus not to Mary and Joseph. Therefore, it is my opinion that buying gifts to celebrate Christmas and giving them to anyone other than Christ is wrong. It is a time of charity and it should be given as such.

You are right, IMO Christianity is learning the teachings of Christ, and trying to be more Christ-like. Its a life-long journey.

It is not our place to say anyone who believes in Christ but doesn't follow the same doctrine, is not a true christian. Only God can know our hearts and be the true judge.

Real Christians are real with God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Someones that recognized their sins separated them from God and received Jesus Christ shed blood for the remission of their sins. Confessed Jesus Christ their Lord & Savior, and believed in their heart He raised from the dead.

Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God. He shed His blood on the cross for the remission of our sins. He raised from the dead victorious over death. Jesus Christ is Lord of lords and King of kings. He is the Way, Truth & Life and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
