What if a man, such as myself, offered to God a challenge for control of the universe?

Would God show up? If God didn't show up, would I therefore win this challenge, and thus be the controller of the universe?

What would be an approrpriate venue? Would a game of chess be appropriate? Or how about a wrestling match, like in the Bible when God wrestled a human being?

I challenge God to such a match, and suggest it be a beer drinking contest.

I suggest tonight at my house at 8PM, for control of the universe.

Do you have any thoughts on my proposal to God?

I just wanted to ask this again, since mentioning anything involving being a Christian or Pro Life seems to be against Yahoo's community standards.

I also think sanctity of Life includes careful review, and maybe elimination, of the death penalty. You can't pick and choose who lives and who dies.

(Exodus 4:24)

In the 5th plague all the cattle dies but in the 7th and 10th plagues God kills them again (Ex9:2-6, Ex9:19-20, Ex12:29)

The population of the jews went from approximately 70 (Ex1:5) to more than 600 000 in 430 years (Ex12:37-41)

God brags that he deliberately make people dumb, deaf or blind (Ex 4:11)

Pharao says they can go but is still struck with the locust plague (Ex 10:10-12)

Why did God require a sign on the door posts of the jews? Isn't he supposed to be all-knowing? (Ex12:13)

The Egyptians chases after the jews on horses (Ex14:23) but according to (Ex9:3-6) there wouldn't have been any horses since God killed them all

If you beat your slave and he survives a day or 2 it is OK because you own him (Ex21:20-21)

The people doesn't put decorations on (Ex33:4)

The Jesus sacrifice does not fit with the description of any other sin offering performed for the god. Is this evidence against the Christian claim that Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice for sins?

My freedom ends where another persons freedom starts. I strongly believe in that concept.

That means I can be straight and walk in gay parades to support gay rights. It means I wouldn't be happy if my girlfriend someday would choose to have an abortion, but I'll support her decision. I don't consider killing myself, but I do strongly believe in the right on euthanasia. Etc, etc.

If I find Jesus, do I have to start thinking different as well? Do I have to be against all sorts of other people's freedoms?

This has always struck me as the deepest form of hypocrisy. Christians are always demanding that atheists prove there is no God, but never offer up proof that God genuinely exists. The only thing they ever have to say is ‘have faith’ or ‘wait until you die and see’.
Surly if you make a claim as grand as ‘a super alien created the universe and watches over all that is in it’, you must be able to offer some viable proof.
But ask a Christian for evidence and it is taken as the worst kind of insult.
A bit like your math tutor telling you that that 15 x 27= 23, and when you ask him to prove it, he whacks you around the head with a hammer screaming don’t question me, but refuses to prove his answer.
All Christians seem to do is quote from an ancient book, which has been proven to be a mish mash compilation of writings, copied and translated so many times that the stories bear little or no resemblance to the original text.
So why ask us to disprove this nonsense, lets see your proof.

This topic seems to close to the heart of all the muslims i've met. More so than the muslims dying in Iraq, Sudan etc.

They all tell me that the children are blowing themselves up as they don't believe they have a future.

With nearly 1.5 billion muslims in the world, all feeling this is unjust, surely they could all get together to redevelope this region and make it more prosperous than Israel.

Then the people would surely have a future.

to sneak a few people into heaven?

What I mean is, if he knows your soul wouldn't he be more inclined to put Christians into this world and atheists' souls into aborted fetuses. That way, a few people who would otherwise burn can be with him in heaven.
