So, if my story begins with my birth, in the begining was me, and I was with my parents, and I was my parents(I was a result of my 2 parents), couldn't it mean that Jesus was God's godly son, a seperate being, but still a 'god' whom was the 'us' in the begining, and that the 'holy spirit/ghost' is a given characteristic of God and Jesus, or of a 'god?'
Or could this whole quote mean that in the begining God knew that he would create Jesus to be the annointed one. So the word was with him and was him because he creates everything, and everything is of God?

Just before people all start yelling "NO, OF COURSE NOT!", think about all the people who have been killed in the name of some God or another. I am not taking any particular side, and i know that, realisticly, religion couldn't be banned, but just for the sake of the argument, tell me what you think.

He uses "US" once and "OUR" twice in the passage below.

(GENESIS1:26) And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Does faith lead to evidence? Does it drive us to seek out answers?

Science is derived from observations but what drives us to experiment to prove our observations correct? Do we have faith in our observations and theories?

Sure we may be wrong about some things but that doesn't change our faith in science does it?

- I'm talking about faith in generic terms, not religious terms... Seems like when you use faith everyone gets their panties in a bunch in here...

Last night I had a dream that I was standing in a field and the sky opened up. When I looked up I could see a cloud with angles or Jesus standing on it. The cloud started decending to earth, I woke up terrified after that. Has anyone ever had a similar dream?

It seems many new Christians, especially in America, Claim to be moderate. They try to respect other people’s beliefs, accept most scientific theories, and reject many of the more cruel parts of the bible. At what point does a Christian stray far enough away from the original beliefs and simply become Deist.

I know this will open up a HUGE can of worms and I truly do not mean to offend anyone but I am trying to understand this issue in my own mind and wonder if other's have the same questions as me.

So, if our purpose on this Earth is to procreate, does that mean that homosexuality is wrong? Does God want us to go forth and procreate? Because if so, one would have to conclude that homosexuality is wrong. If our purpose is to "make life," (assuming this is God's plan) how can you explain homosexuality?

Is this really the most appropriate punishment? Think about it. Try to imagine billions of people being sliced, boiled, burned, baked and crushed for millions of years with no rest. Imagine the screaming, the blood, the noises. Now tell me why God would allow that. It is the sickest thing I can possibly imagine.

Rwanda
The Cross and the Genocide
The involvement of Christian societies in the Rwandan genocide

Rwandan Government

afrol News background - The 1994 Rwandan genocide, killing an estimated 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus, is made even more incomprehensible by the documented participation of many representatives of Rwandan church societies. How could God fearing nuns, and even a bishop, take part in the most cruel crimes against humanity committed on African soil? Even worse, several church societies allegedly were co-responsible for the growing hatred that led to the genocide. It remains an enormous contradiction to the Christian Message of Love. (Does it?)
