The word 'worship' in the KJV is 'proskenesis,' and refers to an act of veneration, or a showing of respect for a person, thing or Deity. The word itself implies bowing down before someone/something. It is not reserved for God alone - Cornelius worshiped Peter, John worshiped an angel, many people worshiped Jesus without recognizing his divinity. In the Old Testament Abraham worship the Canaanites, Jacob worshiped the head of his staff, many people worshiped David, and the Psalms instruct us to worship the 'footstool of God,' which was the ark of the covenant.

The word 'service' in KJV is closer to the modern term 'worship,' and refers to all the elements of religious duty inclusive, such as ritual, prayer, offerings, comandments, etc.

Follow the path of where you spend your time and money and that is what you worship.

Either you worship the living God (he is the center of your life.) Or you worship an idol.

An idol can be money, career, toys - such as cars, boats, video games, TV, lust - your own body or someone else, etc.

Another example of worship is when you go to a concert and people have their hands raised, lighters lite (or cell phones these days)...that is worship.

Hi,

Worship is giving praise and honor to God, it is also an expression of your love for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Addressing our lord and savior for his goodness. God Bless!

Worship is any manifestation of adoration.
It can be in song, in good works, in finances, in time serving the object, or God, that we are devoted to.
