I know it doesn't exist. I'm just curious about how Christians think.

What is the 1st Commandment? If you only break that one and we all do, we are all singing "I did it my way," and in the eyes of God you have made yourself into your own god.

It's like this:
Noone wants to be in debt. Does that mean you don't use your credit card for something you really want? Probably not. Sometimes you make a choice... Some people will not buy a luxury until they can pay for it. Others know it's probably not the best idea, and go for it anyway.

Iin dealing with that new Plasma TV, it's not a big deal, but when people choose to live how they want, rather than live a godly life to avoid negative consequence, they've made that choice.

Note: I do not believe in hell as a place of fiery torment however - I hold the Bible's view on the matter.

It is choice. The general consensus for Christianity, is that if you are not a christian and you know the option is out there, then you choose to go to Hell. If we do not abide by the rules of Christiandom, then we inevitably choose to go to Hell. It is like this for just about every religion, if not for every religion. The killer is this though, what if people isolated from society, from the world, we'll say tribes of Africa, South America, Phillipines, do they choose Hell even though they most likely do not know the existence of Christ?

It's the whole "You are an ally if you are with me, but an enemy if you are not" situation. If you choose christianity, you are a friend and loved by all, but if you choose nothing let's say you are confused and don't know which way to go, then you are an enemy and eventually end up in Hell. I am not saying an individual is an "enemy" as in war time, but just that the person is not affiliated with christianity therefore cannot endulge in the advantages of being christian. The view of christianity is slightly tainted though. A person outside of the church who does bad things, is instantly labeled as going to Hell, but the individual who is with the church, who continuously chooses to do bad things is ok as long as he repents. Which is worse?...The person who does not choose the church because of fear or uncertainty, or the individual who becomes the living hypocrite and chooses to turn his back on God constantly even though he asks for forgiveness everytime?

In the end it comes down to a choice, either you are with them or you are not. You cannot go to Heaven without joining, thus you have one choice left...Hell. In order to reap the benefits of Heaven and christianity one must join. It isn't one of those things where an individual says "If I do not believe in it, then it cannot happen or does not exist" ok, so that's like saying " I don't believe planes crash" uh, then why did hundreds of people die just this past month from a plane crash? Just because an individual does not believe in something doesn't necassarily mean it does not exist, therefore you have two choices, Christianity or other...Heaven or Hell.

Because rejecting God is essentially excepting and choosing the alternative. There is no middle of the road with Christianity. Either you are all the way on his side or you are not.

I think that concept is pretty simple but some believe it to be unreasonably harsh. Let's face it, sin is fun and it's easier to do than to make the tough choice of not following the crowd to walk alone sometimes.

Here's how we think...
The Bible tells us that the only way to heaven (avoiding Hell) is to make a decision for Jesus Christ.
By not choosing Jesus, we believe that people are choosing Hell.
It's that simple.
If we come off sounding critical sometimes, it's because we don't want to see ANYone go to Hell.

There has to be a judgment of all the crimes and bad deeds committed here on earth. God said vengeance is mine and that means punishment. I don't think I'd chance it. People buy insurance every day on things that could happen why not trust Jesus with your soul?

Non believers say that.
Christians don't.
They (non believers) choose disbelief in God. The outcome of that is hell.
PEOPLE CHOOSE what they want to believe.

Because you can choose to do good things and bad things. You can choose to be anything you want to be in the world, not only Christian.

People choose consequences they don't want all the time.

In High school I chose detention by not doing my homework. I didn't want detention, but it was my choice not to do my homework.

If one sins against God, that person is choosing hell. God made heaven for those that love and worship Him. He is only good and can't stand sin. Therefore if we choose to sin, we choose Hell!

They choose it in regards to knowing what they must do not to go there, but choosing not to do it (and betting that God will not do what He said He would do to them).
