Happiness and optimism is not a sign of goodness. I'm sure Jeffery Dahmer was often happy and optimistic.

I am good, kind and fair to other people but do I consider myself self-less "NO" I am not a Saint. You may not think that there are many like that in today's society but there are it's just that some of us generally like to remain in the shadow we help others then slip back into the shadow because as for me I don't need pats on the back for something nice I have done for my fellow man. My thing is if I am the first person at a car accident I will help those people and talk to them until help arrives once help arrives and I know the person is in good hands I go my own way. Here's hoping others respond and you see that you are not alone.

Keep doing it and maybe it will rub off on someone.
That's what Jesus was about.
He rubbed off on people. He didn't hit them over the head with things. He just WAS.
I made a short film once and my former cinema teacher showed it to a class and it got some hostile comments but ONE person saw what I was trying to show.
That made me feel it was worth it. ONE person understanding is what makes it all worth while!

Apparently you're not that selfless because your self-concept, via your lack of humility is GLARINGLY obvious. Apparently you're quite FULL of yourself. Truly altruistic people don't run around tooting their own horn.

I'd like to be like you, but I am so angry lately. There have been times when I could be kind and loving to all but not lately, i have alot of resentments and pain. I don't know what to do with about it , but make an appt.with a doc. and pray.

And others have seen too much to not be jaded and cruel., look at the world around you...emotions have no room, marriage means nothing, love is fading and its cold...its just cold. You can only spread so much love till you start to run out.
