Pride we don't have to seek after; it's part of the fallen human nature.
Humility, true humility comes and GROWS when you come into contact with God. It's the naturally occurring effect when a sinful human is found by a Holy God. Humility is the direct result of being with God.

Pride, depending on how you look at it, can be good, bad or both. Humility, on the other hand, is totally good, except when it's bad or both.

As with most things in life, both have a place and time.
