The second president of the watch tower actually celebrated christmas and send out christmas cards.

The founder Russell also send out christmas cards out that had a cross on them.

And the 4 presidents rutherford, knorr, franz, henschel all perticipated in a christmas party in 1926. we have photos.

So how is it your faith seems to be redesigning itself all the time?
Can you explain that one to me.

Personally, I practice Buddhism and I am an agnostic. I feel that if a God does exist, he is so selfless that he doesn't want any worship. Only evil people want to be worshipped. God doesn't have an ego since he is the highest of holiness. I think the only thing he wants is to be loved and for us to behave on this planet. I think his demands are simple that doesn't require special rituals or excessive bowing. He just wants us to behave. But then again, this is speaking on the assumption that a God does exist. I have clearly stated that I am agnostic. Even for you atheist, this is quite a fictional thing to ponder.

If you try to teach a dog arithmetic / math, it will never comprehend no matter what you do or how long you try; the dog will just simply never comprehend.

What if we just simply aren't built to comprehend the purpose of the Universe or how it was created? What if we are limited to learn about the Universe just as dogs are limited to learn Arithmetic?

I'd like you all to just ponder exactly how this world came to be. Why are we here? How are we here? God created everything, but how? What are we made out of? How large is our universe? What is the concept of infinity?

All these questions just cause us further confusion, hence the Dog trying to learn Arithmetic metaphor.

I mean seriously, Jesus your great, awesome, mighty, I really think someone has a self image problem. they say jesus was without sin, but he seems pretty full of himself. I went to church once to see what it was like, yea...Jesus is great, thats the message i got out of it, and I suck because I am not Jesus. way to start a sunday. i can see why people hate going to church, the whole time your there your telling some dude how great he is and than saying how unworthy you are. whatever. is there a religon where the god is like, I created everything, but get off your knees, don't pray to me, use that time and have fun, because I only put you on this earth for a limited amount of time. I mean how much praise does one god need?

I was raised as a christian. My dad is a pastor for over 20 years. I have lived in 4 major cities. every one of the church's (predominately black) never had a full white couple ( as oppose to interracial) in it except for one. Now my dad used to go to white churches to preach but their would also be full black couples their.

I have noticed that many Christians on this forum when asked a question, spout off the apostles creed or just answer with JESUS IS THE ONE! Well I believe the apostles creed, and I believe Jesus is the one, but I don't think people need to be preached at, thats what gives Christianity a bad name half the time. Is there a reason people do this preaching method that I don't understand? Or am I right in thinking that answering questions with "Jesus Rocks" doesn't make a full answer?

So why is Judas so villified. You can't name your kid Judas in Germany. If Judas hadn't have done what he did (by the way, since Jesus knew the prophecy and knew he had to die, he told Judas to turn him in) Jesus would never have been sentenced to death by the Romans. Also, the 'eye witness' account of Jesus rising from the dead was Mary Magdallin, the horrible slutty woman of the bible. Would you put her on the stand today if there were a trial to figure out what happened to the body? Pick n choose, pick n choose . . .
