It seems that every race has a different religion. It begs the question, if we were all the same race would there be only one religion?

I first wanted to say "No", but as I thought about it I realized that you might be right. In Europe, where there are white people, we have Christianity, in Asia, we mainly have buddhism, in Africa there is a generalized set of beliefs as well. But I do not think that it is related to race. In Europe, for example there were plenty f pagan religions, but as Christianity was a very agressive religion, it spread all over. And the fact that these religions are theoretically restricted to one race is actually based on the fact that it is restricted to one continent and it was more difficult to surpass natural barriers in order to spread to other continents. In the present day, as you can see, this is not the case any more and all religions are spreading all over the globe

No religion is not race based. However, religons due tend to have one ethinic group as the majority of its followers. This has nothing with race and everything to do with the geographic area that religon came from.
For ex. The majority of muslims are Arabian because Islam came from the middle east. The majority of Buddist are Asian because that religon came from India but migrated to China and was spread throughout the continent of Asia.
Moreover, No religions that I know of have restrictions on whether or not you can be a follower based on race.
Finally, since religons are not race based your question if we where all 1 race would there be only 1 religon cannot be answered. HOLLA AT YOBOY

No. Though there are correlations, but it is not a cause-effect relationship. It has to do with predominantly historical reasons. Christianity was spread mostly from its white base through imperialism to the Americas, Africa, and Oceania, and if you look at the demographics you will see that it still holds true today. Similarly Islam was spread through the moorish conquest of southern Europe, northern Africa, and southern Asia, which is also reflected today. You can do the same with other religions too. Most people choose their religion based on the values of their parents and their environment, not on their race per se.

Well, religion is not race based. Although Blacks, Whites, and Hispanics tend to be Catholic or christian. Middle easterns tend to be Hindu or Muslim. Asians tend to be Buddhists. Africans or ones from African descent..aka: Haiti, practice Voodoo.
I think religion tend to be in clusters because people in fact, are in clusters. People of the same race seem to connect better in general, so the religion sticks to the race.

The message of Islam is for the entire human race. According to Islam, Allah is the God of the entire world and Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is a messenger for the whole of mankind.

According to Islam, all men are equal, whatever be their color, language, race or nationality. Islam addresses itself to the conscience of humanity and banishes all false barriers of race, status and wealth. There can be no denying the fact that such barriers have always existed, and do exist even today in this so-called enlightened age. Islam, however, removes all these impediments and proclaims the idea of the whole of humanity being one family of God.

Islam is international in its outlook and approach. It does not admit barriers and distinctions based on color, clan, blood or territory such as were prevalent before the advent of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). These are rampant in different forms, even in this modern age.

Islam is a way of life that transcends race and ethnicity. The Glorious Qur’an repeatedly reminds us of our common origin:

(O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).) (Al-Hujrat: 13)

The eradication of race consciousness is one of the outstanding moral achievements of Islam. In the contemporary world there is, as it happens, a crying need for the propagation of this Islamic virtue. It is conceivable that the spirit of Islam might be the timely reinforcement, which would decide this issue in favor of tolerance and peace, the historian A.J. Toynbee wrote in his book Civilization on Trial.

Islam unites the entire human race under one banner. To a world torn by national rivalries and feuds, it presents a message of life and hope, and of a glorious future

Well some are and some aren't. Some are "folkish" and others universal type.

And I doubt that even if every single person on Earth were the same color that'd we'd all have the exact same religion.

Yes!

1 Corinthians 9:23-28
I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.

No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
