My first reaction would be "OHHH SH!#!!!"
My next reaction (I hope) would be to calmy try to figure out how to handle my finances (writing checks instead of online banking,) news (buying a newspaper,) etc. I guess I won't know for sure until it happens, though.

I lived without the internet a lot longer than I've lived with it. The banks don't always depend on the internet. They have hard files and can keep their files without the net. It would go back to the way it was before computers became so popular - like it was in the 70s, when you could 'kite' a check, lol.

We have before .... At my age I see the benefit and the curse ; both are real. When I grew up we thought ouside the computer and some did better without it in various ways . When the systems sometimes goes down in retail sales I've noticed some people our more efficient without it . ever been made a fool of by internet or scammed by the same , how about identity theft ;it flourishes because of the computer.the sword cuts both ways.
peace out

There'll be a moment of panic and confusion but life will go on. There are always the old ways to fall back on. . . the newspaper, for one. As for banks, transactions will be a little slower but they still have the old-fashioned systems kept alive. The world will continue to live, just a little bit slower-paced than what we're normally used to.

Always be ready for the worst and don't abandon the old ways. They just may serve another purpose another day. Perhaps save our lives????

it could happen, they said china has a missile that could knock out our satellite and we would be in a big mess, it might pay to keep some money put away in your home, put back caned goods, and learn how to survive if something did happen, me myself, I'm stock piling food, water,,guns and ammo,I'm a farm girl and have had to ruff it before, I know were to find springs on the property, and how to live without electricity, so we would survive, but...I don't know about people that don't know the first thing about how to do anything but turn on a I pod.

Well people lived before the internet, I'm guessing they could do without it. But, I understand what your saying, it would not be good to lose the net. I'd cry.

I would be sad for a while, but then the realization would sink into me that I'm more apt to get out and have social relationships other than on a stinking computer!

That would be nice...for some people.

I'd just go out and play some football (soccer).
