So why is Judas so villified. You can't name your kid Judas in Germany. If Judas hadn't have done what he did (by the way, since Jesus knew the prophecy and knew he had to die, he told Judas to turn him in) Jesus would never have been sentenced to death by the Romans. Also, the 'eye witness' account of Jesus rising from the dead was Mary Magdallin, the horrible slutty woman of the bible. Would you put her on the stand today if there were a trial to figure out what happened to the body? Pick n choose, pick n choose . . .

Ok, so we can now see people don't actually read the questions here . . .
Oh, and the word / name Jesus comes from the Hebrew for Joshua, which in Hebrew has no difference. So what's the big deal if his name was Jesus. The christ part didn't come till later.
And as far as Mary M . . . just basing the statement on what is in the bible . . .

Judas should be the Big Time Hero of the Christians. Without him, God's Plan to have Jesus beaten and killed would never have worked - and then WHERE would Christians be today?!?

Judas remains a disciple of Jesus. Just because he 'betrayed' Jesus doesn't mean he isn't one. Peter also betrayed Jesus "you will deny me three times" several times, and he still remains 'head' of the apostles.

As for the account of Mary Magdallin, it depends on which gospel you base your account from. There were several women of ill-repute mentioned in the gospels, and some actually only mention her by name not by occupation. The instance of her being regarded as 'fallen' was part of the doctrinal 'consensus' reached after the Council of Nicea. It also fit in with the OT's account of women being the source of sin, which is funny considering that Jesus said that he did not come to 'follow' OT laws and practices.

The women accused of adultery, for example, should have been stoned, if Jesus was following OT. Instead, he sent the accusers away, effectively stating that the OT laws were to be considered null and void.

Most biblical misunderstanding is the result of human error and interpretation, which Jesus himself says will happen: "None of those why cry out 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of God but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven." Following doctrine does not, ipso facto, mean that one is doing the 'will' of God in heaven.

Jesus loves sinners, He said "you who are without sin cast the first stone." God would pick her to put on the stand.
God picked a shepherd for the king of Israel.

Man judges by outer appearance, God looks at the heart alone.

Are you so proud of being traitorous to Christ that you would name a son Jesus? And you think Mary Magdeline was bad.

The proof can be found by you today right now! He died and was raised, and now because he was raised you can get his HOLY SPIRIT AND BECOME born again. John 3. once you receive his spirit he will prove himself by revelations by his spirit! We worship him in spirit and truth!
