I mean, do people really want to live forever? It seems that would get boring after a while. You would run out of things to do.

I think our mortality defines our existance, it makes us who we are. The fact that we don't live forever, gives life more meaning for me.

I find myself enjoying peoples' opinions and thoughts, but I tend to avoid the bible quotes from christian mythology, as I've seen it all before and much of it seems bizarre. What are your thoughts? Are you actually drawn to read those quotes?

somebody just asked why he should praise God....
Well i am actually answering him again:
You won't have a chance to praise him and make up in the next life.. so be your best NOW! And play for all eternity...
i guess..........

Good Luck in this life and in the Next!

"Either life was created by god or it happened by accident."

Usually followed by

"I like to believe I'm not an accident, therefore god exists."

It's not that simple, why do people reduce these things to such an absurd level? Why is life an accident if god doesn't exist? Life could be an accident that god had... ever think of it that way? If he does exist maybe he was going for something completely different but ended up with us instead?

Of course, there really isn't any evidence that a god does exist, even then i don't consider us an "accident." That word implies that something was supposed to happen one way but turned out another way. It seems the only way to have our existence be an accident is to have some consiousness driving the whole thing... god. So, it really makes no sense to say that either god made us or we are an accident... because if we are an accident it implies that god still made us... just not the way he wanted to.

Christians claim to preach "peace" and "tolerance". However, they seem to get the definition of “peace” and “tolerance” wrong. According to them, “peace” means “go to war” and “tolerance” means “attack and/or kill everyone who doesn’t believe what you do”.

Examples:

In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered along with 5 million others.

With this being said, should Christians be handed a dictionary before they try to preach “peace” and “tolerance” again?

How do you bridge the gap between reading the bible and knowing that Jesus is your savior to actually developing a personal relationship with him and turning your heart fully over to him, no strings attached?

Ok my wifes mom passed away when my wife was 9 yrs old.
We have no photos at all of her since they all burned in a house fire 2 yrs before our daughter who is 3 yrs old was born.
We dont live near anyone who would know her mom before she passed and we never talk about her. Ok heres the weird stuff.... My 3 yr old daughter said she wanted to watch cartoons with her gramma,we jokingly asked what gramma was wearing and she said she had on a yellow butterfly costume.(she was buried in a yellow shirt with butterflies all over it.) My daughter says now that her favorite color is yellow because her gramma like that color. My wifes mom loved yellow but we never mention it at all.
Ok is it me or this odd? We never were one to believe in the supernatural but im startin to wonder. So anyway...any explanations?
