I grew up Christian, and I fully agree with you. It is totally rediculous. They do not "do on to other's as you would have others do on to you". The fact is, the same can be said about many religions. We are all human, and judge regardless if we want to or not. Your question itself is judgemental.

So your blaming the Christians for defending themselves from Islam? Islam had taken the East and began invading the West. The Christians got there a-s-s-e-s kicked in the East during the Crusades, but were able to protect the West. If this did not happen, you would be a Muslim on your prayer rug three times a day pointed the the East and kissing Mohammad's a-s-s. Not to mention that this happened several hundred years ago. Dude, go pick on someone else and leave the Christians alone......

Maybe you need to open the Book again and read.
Nowhere you will find it said let people kill you to keep the peace.
The holocaust was not a Christian movement it was a mad man.
Christians die hiding the Jews and many when to the death camps too.
Lets get some numbers in perspective
More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined.
http://www.crisismagazine.com/october2003/madden.htm
Islamic terrorists murder more people every day than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years.
http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/shipp/lynchingyear.html
More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland.
http://cain.ulst.ac.uk/issues/violence/death95w.htm
19 Muslim hijackers killed more innocents in two hours on September 11th than the number of American criminals executed in the last 65 years.

Maybe you need to read a bit more about the Crusade it was the Musims who used the term infidels and they were preventing Christians to go to the Holy Lands.
Christians have been far more tolerant than Muslims are.
Case in point a woman on Birtish Airways was not allow to carry her Bible when flying to the Middle East.
Yet in Gitmo we provide them all with new Qrans.
So why are you more outraged at Muslims who are killing a larger scale today than ever.
If you bring up Iraq read this too.
Iraqi civilians killed last year by ISLAMIC Terrorists
16,791
Iraqi civilians killed collaterally in incidents involving Americans
(and Islamic Terrorists)
214*
Iraqis aren't
dying from war.
They are being murdered by
Islamic terrorists.

After 9/11 do you know there was no increase in hate crimes in America towards Muslims.
Can you say that about Muslims when a cartoon was published?
I knew you couldn't.

To truly understand history and learn from it, one must study it- causes and effects. Generalizing anyone is not a reasonable next step. There are many people around the globe that are not peaceful and tolerant, and they do not classify themselves as Christians. Killing, torturing, maiming, raping, stealing.........might be more of a characteristic of mans' nature that the result of a particular religion. Maybe it is the religion that is trying to teach man peace and tolerance, and he is not applying those concepts correctly. Man tends to twist words to justify desired behavior.

Sure.
Please know however, that many Christians do not go by your definition of what a Christian is, either.
Just because someone marches under a particular banner does not mean the the true spirit that designed the principles that banner supposedly represents is being served at all!

maximum Christians will in common words learn Latin because it truly is what's being utilized of their church homes, no longer Hebrew. although in the experience that they do keep in mind that the Bible is composed of Greek, & Hebrew at first, earlier there became a translation into Latin, they are going to in common words learn quite in many cases Latin, and perchance on get jointly some historic Greek. Hebrew is studied by technique of both Jewish human beings or those analyzing Judaism/Kabbalah, and so on...

Who ever told you that Christianity was about peace and tolerance told you wrong.
Jesus Himself said:
Matthew 10:34
"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."
Luke 12:51-53
51 "Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division;
52 for from now on five members in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three.
53 "They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."
TOLERANCE, did you say tolerance?
Jesus was the most intolerant person I ever met!
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."
The Bible goes on to say in Acts 4:12
"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved."
Peace? Tolerance?
Sorry, but you have been mislead.
Every time we hear Jesus preaching, this was His message:
... "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." Mark 1:15
There you go! THAT is the Christian message!

That's the corruption in their religion.
"bias
noun
1. An inclination for or against that inhibits impartial judgment: one-sidedness, partiality, partisanship, prejudice, prepossession, tendentiousness. See affect/ineffectiveness, like/dislike, straight/bent.
2. An inclination to something: bent, cast, disposition, leaning, partiality, penchant, predilection, predisposition, proclivity, proneness, propensity, squint, tendency, trend, turn. See approach/retreat, like/dislike."
It's not Christianity alone. Every religion that human practice is corrupted.
Conclusion:
That's the fault in humans not in religions.
