God did and still does reveal himself to Native Americans in spirit. There's not one part of the world that hasn't had a religious or spiritual experience with God in some shape or form. Because it's not documented doesn't mean it never happened.

I'll second Ethan M. Read the Book of Mormon. LDS members believe the Native American belief of a Great Spirit stems from their original knowledge of our Heavenly Father that was mixed up and lost through the ages.

Furmanator: That'd be Joseph Smith, not John Smith.

Jezebel isn't serious? Really? You honestly think they were savages? You do know that scalping was something learned from the Europeans?

And they knew of the Gods long before the Conquistadors came over here.

Are you certain of that. At least one saint had a session of bi-location and spoke with natives here or in upper mexico about Jesus. Do a study of the saints . After reading the above, i will say these saints are part of the Catholic church. Roman Catholic.

Only because every ancient culture had their own beliefs. After Europeans invaded the native Americans and shoved their religion down their throats did they start to believe. Only then it was done exactly like the catholic church did it. Believe in our god or we will kill you.

God has revealed himself to every person who has ever lived. Some people are not able to grasp that, because he has given them "eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear".

You need to do more research. God did reveal himself, ask someone who knows, ANY NATIVE, that's familiarized themselves with their culture. While your at it, check out your own.

According to the Mormons He did... but in my oppinion, its part of the point in "SPREADING the Gospel" because God wanted us to go out into all the world and into all the cultures.
