I don't think the Pascals Wager pushers are answering this one or else they don't see the connection.

God is not interested in empty words. Sincerity is what He wants in the praise of His people. He loves us sincerely and more greatly than we can ever know in this life. God is not so shallow that He will accept just anything. He knows each heart and its intent. There is no fooling Him.

Of course it needs to be sincere..why would God want anyone to praise Him with lying lips? I mean He would like all to care about Him, but He forces noone..so those who just praise for the sake of it are fooling themselves..but NOONE can EVER fool God...fakes are everywhere in this world.....but God knows each and every one of them.

John 4:23-24
23 "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

If Pascal was right, you can feign the praise.

Rejoicing in your heart first could be a prerequisite. Flip the switch in your heart and let it flow.

You want to know if you can "fake it" with God? Ask your spouse how they'd feel if you faked it...:-)
