In my opinion it's has always been ironic that Jesus did not convince the majority of Jews but ultimately his message was understood and taken over by the Gentiles.

Jesus was way cool
Everybody liked Jesus
Everybody wanted to hang out with him
Anything he wanted to do, he did
He turned water into wine
And if he wanted to
He could have turned wheat into marijuana
Or sugar into cocaine
Or vitamin pills into amphetamines

He walked on the water
And swam on the land
He would tell these stories
And people would listen
He was really cool

If you were blind or lame
You just went to Jesus
And he would put his hands on you
And you would be healed
That's so cool

He could've played guitar better than Hendrix
He could've told the future
He could've baked the most delicious cake in the world
He could've scored more goals than Wayne Gretzky
He could've danced better than Barishnikov
Jesus could have been funnier than any comedian you can think of
Jesus was way cool

He told people to eat his body and drink his blood
That's so cool
Jesus was so cool
But then some people got jealous of how cool he was
So they killed him
But then he rose from the dead
He rose from the dead, danced around
Then went up to heaven
I mean, that's so cool
Jesus was way cool

No wonder there are so many Christians

Is God plopping men on earth made from dirt and clay in his image to test them to see whether they believe in him a good alternative theory to geology and biological evolution?

I think it was Albert Einstein who once said "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."

What appears as a miracle to YOU personally? What is your everything?

Ever think about what if it decided to abuse its power? I mean, it could do a LOT of things if you think about it.

I think it's good. It helps with overpoplulation. Besides, those fetuses will never have to worry about living in this crappy world.

I wish I could've been an aborted fetus...

I am a Christian and although I do enjoy worship songs at my church, I almost exclusively listen to classic rock & roll and oldies tunes at home and in my car. I feel that listening to secular music as a hobby ultimately does not interfere with your salvation. Do you feel that you can be a true Christian and prefer songs that do not have overtly Christian messages?

...So given the losing track record of anyone that tried to destroy the Judeo-Christian tradition and foundation through the centuries, what do you atheists think the odds are for you this time?

I'd say the bookies give you 1,000,000:1 against. No wait, 100,000,000:1 against. No, considering the omnipotence of the Creator, I'd say the odds are infinity:1, against you.

What's your wager?

Yeah, I read the title of the article on Yahoo, however I think this runs thru a lot of folks minds anyway......
why do so many people treat animals w/kindness over people, and then there's of course people who are nice to other's but have little compassion for animals?
My Mother inlaw looks down on me (I can sense it by some comments that's she's made) for wanting to do volunteer work for wildlife vs. for people.
Then I have this friend of mine who was very opinionated about the fact that I had started sponsoring someone, and it seems as though she was annoyed because I wasn't sponsoring an animal--ridiculous!!!!!
(why can't we all feel love, compassion for BOTH people AND wildlife......that goes for the environment as well)
anyway, I like helping anything alive, just get sick of my personal choices being judged!
So why is it then? --That some out there prefer or think they have to make a choice almost to some extent. (well I think most folks are equally as nice to both actually

Do you (as a Catholic) think it is an act directed by God?

When God warns not to change or add or take away from his words.

Revelations 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Deuteronomy 4:22
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Catholics 10 Commandments
the 2nd is taken away,
the 4th is changed
the 10th is slipt into two to make up for the removal of the 2nd.
