In principle, I agree with you. We were all taught not to respond to a troll -- don't give them attention, and they'll go away, right?

Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. They just keep coming back with more atrocious behavior, and not much seems to slow them down. The only thing that ever gets under their skin is someone who can pop their little ego bubble with some humor.

Not being taken seriously is what upsets most trolls, rather than being ignored. Satire has always been an effective weapon, and A has made himself a perfect target.
