That's just your opinion, really. Who are you to decide what God does with people that don't believe in God? What if God decides what to do with people based on how they treat other people, regardless of why they treat them how they treat them?
I'm not an athiest, but some of the nicest people I've known were. Are you saying that God is going to punish people just because they don't believe what you and others of your religion believe?
That's insane.
Regards,
Chris

I am not an atheist, but the church called my people evil after they took our gifts and knowledge and almost wiped us out of existence in the 10th century.
If you are right you get the following:
1. A seat on a cloud
2. All the nectar you can drink
3. A harp to play and eternity to learn how to play it right
4. Wings with which to fly around and look at other clouds
5. Regular or low-fat Manna depending on death weight
6. No late fees for library books (no books)
7. Never having to go to the bathroom again (no butts)
8. No hormones, sex, and no cheating spouses
9. No stink (no smell at all)
10. No pain (everyone is a numbie)
11. No alcoholics (no booze)
12. No termites (no wood)
13. No dogs, cats, birds, or anything else from the earth.
14. No decisions
15. No challenges
16. No work
17. One one TV Channel
18. No need to sleep (it is always day and you are always awake)
19. No lawyers (the all go to hell)
20. No excitement whats so ever. It will be just like a really long drug buzz on good stuff. With no perception of time you will be reduced to a dimension zero existence
If you are really interested, ask the question.

Your statement is incorrect.
If there is a god I actually lose nothing. I am living my life according to my beliefs. If there is a god who rewards things like integrity, good deeds and an open questioning mind then I would most likely be rewarded.
If there is a god who rewards blind faith or adherence to an arbitrary set of moral standards, in a world where there are so many religions all trying to convince their way is the right way, then that god would not be worth my time or anyone else's. I would even rather be punished than spend eternity worshiping a god who is either cruel or stupid.
If there is a god who neither punishes or rewards, but loves and accepts everyone, then I am fine no matter what I do.
If however, atheists are right, you potentially could have lost a lot.
The restrictions placed upon you by your religion could mean you miss out on things that could have contributed to your happiness and enjoyment of life.
The unachievable moral standards, obsession with "sin", and discrimination based on sexual preference, inappropriate interests/hobbies etc could erode your self esteem and make you feel unworthy for things that are simply part of being human.
The way religion likes to restrain thought could make you very narrow-minded, causing harm to others and yourself.
Committing your life to worship of and belief in a god who doesn't exist, means you would have wasted your opportunity to discover any real truth that exists, limiting your understanding of reality even more than most people.

You've never heard of Pascal's wager but spouted it off just like a good little Christian soldier, didn't you? I bet you heard it from your youth group or something and thought, "Now I'll show those heathens! There is no possible way they could refute this argument!"
You're too lame to even find out what your often (and easily) debunked myth is from, and you expect all the people that have heard the same tired, pointless crap spouted ad nauseum to believe you?
Like most Christians, you merely spew whatever simple idea you have been spoon-fed without ever enlisting a single neuron of your own.

First of all, I don't see why all the Atheists are getting pissed off about a question. IT'S JUST A QUESTION!!! I am a Christian and I don't think I am "wasting my time" by believing. How do you think that I have restrictians on my life by following God? Because I can't kill anyone, or because God forces me to be nice to people??? Oh wow! So Many restrictions! First of all, If everyone followed God, This world would be a lot nicer place. I am nice to people regardless of my faith because it is the right thing to do. So all the restrictions your talking about are nonsense. Its just an excuse to justify your reasons for not believing in God to give you some sick peace of mind and to make you feel better about your decisions! In the end...It won't matter what your reasons are anymore!

It's been several days since I have seen any version of Pascal"s Wager. I was beginning to miss it it. What if Zeus or Thor is the right god. And if your God is true, why would he accept Just-in- Case" worshipers. Can't he tell if someone is a hypocrite?

And what if I am right, and instead of seeing Jesus and Angels and the Pearly Gates when you die; you see Odin, Valkyries, and Bifrost? You forget that not all Non-Christians are Atheists.
Pascal's Wager is THE oldest and lamest argument for believing in God. What if you picked the wrong God eh? The the likelihood of Christianity being right isn't very high at all. The bloodthirsty Aztec Gods would not be amused.

This question amuses me more and more every time I see it - like what, 10 times a week now?
Such shallow, limited thinking - and shows a lack of understanding othe doctrines of your own religion.
Everything is NOT black and white - even for god - or did you miss the part of the bible where non believers get second, third, etc chances to change their minds?
In comprehensible how such limited thinking still exists in today's society. I expect it in remote places, in jungles, ect - but in a realm where they are educated enough to use and maybe even own a computer? Saddening, truly.

Hey, Ethan, what if the Hindus are right and you're wrong? What if the Muslims or Jews are right and you're wrong? What if the ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Greeks, or Romans were right and you're wrong? You see, Ethan, there are and have been many, many religions and thousands of invented gods in the world, and yours is just one more. How do you know that your god is real and all the others are false? Just because some book says so? Anybody can write something in a book, who cares? Placing all your hope on your favorite god could mean that YOU LOSE EVERYTHING because it could be the wrong deity!

You have lost... NOTHING? A life believing in a myth, going to church, preaching, praying, worshipping... a life of delusion wasted. That's FAR from nothing.
BTW: Do not ever use Pascal's Wager again. It is such a tired and useless argument.
Oh yeah... and it's ATHEISTS not athiests. At least have the decency to spell it right.
