Throughout the Old Testament God gave His people a chance to obey Him and trust Him and repeatedly they refused and chose their own way. God is a just God. He could not allow sin to continue. So he allowed them to reap the consequences of their actions. He was always long-suffering, always forgiving. Atheists always throw out random scriptures and cry foul on God, but they fail to understand why those things happened....it was the consequence for rebellion and the peoples repeated disobedience and worshipping false gods. Why is it so hard to understand that God must punish wickedness?

i've been praticing wicca for about 6 years and i recently saw "teen witch" in my younger cousins room. i read some of it, it's very informal to gear for younger people. i never continued reading it, is she worth reading? i've heard she's a BSer but what does she lie about? and i thought she was a large part in the wiccan community and raises children to be witches too? please just tell me what you know, thanks a lot :)

They throw insults at Godly people every chance they get. Is this because they are mean or just mad?

Is changing the Sabbath day (Saturday Sabbath or Lord's Day) To Sunday a teaching of men? If not, show me a scripture that says, its been Changed to Sunday as a New Law. Afterall, a Commandment, that starts out by saying REMEMBER, Should it be forgotten? Exodus 20:8-11. Honest Answers. Is Sunday worship a Tradition of Men?

Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

How many of you understand the phrase "God loves you"? I really have to wonder after reading some of the comments I see here. We get a bad rap for being intolerant and judgmental and some of you willingly prove it. I see this and I'm a freakin' fundamentalist.

Sure there are people here who want to yank your chain, belittle you and pose impossible-to-answer questions for the fun of it. Ha ha ha. So what. There are also people here who have serious questions. Maybe the way they phrase it makes you want to puke. Are you here to fight your personal battles or the Lord's?

If a question gets your feathers up, just ignore it. Move on. But if you do decide to answer a question, do it out of love and know what you're talking about so you don't end up mocking God.

Even if you answer out of love, some will still call you intolerant and judgmental. You should expect that. This world sucks. But we're called to "in the world, not of this world." So share the gospel of Jesus Christ the way He did.

1 John 4:8
God is love.

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is not jealous.

Exodus 20:5
"I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God."

See contrary-ness!

It seems there a two types of atheists. Atheists who need proof to worship and atheists who would not change their philosophy even if they had proof. Sort of reminds me of the Two Thieves. But which had more spine?

Dear Christians, are you opened minded enough to consider the fact of the possibility that "The 3 wise men" really could've been pagan, mesopotamian astrologers?

Also, how do you feel about the fact that whenever you put up a Christmas tree--that the celebration of decorating tree's actually originated w/Paganism?

Ok, so I'm Atheist, right? And I've butted heads with pleanty or religious people in my time, and I've come to see it as kind of like polotics: one side KNOWS that they are right, and the other sude is wrond, and the other side thinks the exact same thing. Religious people just cannot believe that people could doubt their God, while we are baffled at how they could actually believe there is one. While I think that a world without religion would be a much better place, I guess scince that's not going to happen any time soon we'll just have to get along (kind of like republicans/democrats in congress/white house). Who's with me? SHould we all just get along? Or should we scwabble endlessly about who's right? I say, Atheists, just ride with it and only intergect when it interferes with polotics or how you're treated and such. Religious people, I know you're trying to "save" us, but it's not going to work. And besides, it's the thought that counts, right? Also, please don't descriminate?

Everything I have read about religion seems to be the definition of myth. Stories passed down and changed to suit the times.
