Some churches today deserve to close. That would be a blessing. But God will not allow a faithful church to fail. No, He won't send money, but He will send the faithful in to keep it spreading the gospel. Read about the seven churches in Revelation 2 and 3. That'll give you some insight into what God sees as good and bad churches.

Believers are givers.Unrepentant Man is a taker.
In the old testament Titheing was acknowledgeing God.
Example Abraham tithe to Melchisdeck priest of Salem 400 yrs before the Law.In new Testament Jesus goes even deeper to the Heart,Conclusion,If God is not Lord of everything, including, finance, He isn"t Lord at all for you.I have been given meaningful employment all of my life.64 yrs,My sons have been given teaching jobs & I have worked on some of hottest aircraft,I can never give enough back to God,He owns it all anyway, if you don"t give with a willing Heart, let it stay in your wallet,But who are you gonna rely on when you or family is out of work. (Self) is to weak.As to being a good steward of what God has given to you, check out where your local Church is placing God"s money, does it square with God"s Word? if no then ask God where ,if you are a Believer,He will tell you,not a Surrender Believer,You can be,your choice.

You are supposed to tithe where you are fed. Thats means fed the Word of God. If a church teaches the Word of God with truth and understanding, God will see to it that the church does well. That will be the church you DO NOT SEE begging for money on Sunday morning TV - telethons, pledges, send us your bills so we can pray over them, and a check for the church. Your financial worries will be over - etc, etc. etc.
A church that is truly doing Gods Work will never have to ask their congregation for money. ever. -- Jesus sent the apostles out with no script - thats a money bag. They were not to beg for money. This would be a good example to follow if a church wants to be in good standing with God.

The Bible says that where two or more are gathered in His name He is in their midst. Church isn't a building used twice a week while the homeless sleep in its shadow, it is a group of believers.
The original tithe was not money given to the church, but actually it was a portion of harvested food and it was eaten by the farmer who was giving thanks to God for blessing his fields. God needs nothing, but the less fortunate around us do. The tithe and offerings should be given to the poor to fulfill the new spiritual law of Jesus, love thy neighbor.

U.S. lawmakers will NEVER have the balls to treat religions as the businesses they are. Which is a real shame, given that nowhere in the Constitution does separation of church and state imply tax-exempt status. Hell, I'm separate from the state and I pay taxes.

Ask yourself this first of all? Why do we give money to a church?
If the answer comes back like, so we can hear the Word of God taught to us chapter by chapter and verse by verse, then that's the correct answer. Anything else, keep your money.><>

God doesn't need our money. He wants our obedience. Part of that is having the willingness to give up something that is extremely important to most people (money).
People who regularly tithe out of obedience will tell you that God always pays back multiple times over. He rewards obedience. It's cool.

Well, I always hear Christians saying how God provides for them and God always pulls them through, but it seems like God always needs money in order to do it. So, I'm guessing that if the money dried up, all the churches would go bankrupt, which would be no great loss to humanity at all.

If people stopped donating then the Church would have to close its buildings and discontinue some of its programs. The Church itself would not cease. The Church is made up of all who profess faith in Jesus. It is not in the things we have but in the way we love and worship. It is the way we give of ourselves in his name.
