now, i know this question must have been asked many times before, but please take the time to give me a well thought answer.
i am asking this because i asked this questions to some colleagues of mine, one would not want to hear about it, shunting the whole idea away, and another colleague said no.when i asked why(i also said how can you with all that evidence), she said: "they where so big, how could they have died". so i went on explaining the ice age, evolution, etc... and then she said"maybe you are right", she is 60, i am 22. is it ignorance? please give me your views.

There are two Orthodox religions (Orthodox and Catholic) and thousands of protestant churches, if Jesus Christ returned today what his opinion be? LDS you are excluded from comment since you follow a cult not a religion, flat fact the vast majority of Christian theology concurs.

Exodus 2:11-12

11And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

12And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

If a so called mystical 'God' gave me sexual organs to use, why should this be a sin if I use them?

No God no guilt! (within reason obviously I know right from wrong)

Most atheist beleive they are as right as any other religious beleivers. Why not live your life by being happy, don`t harm
anyone, do your best. If when you die there is any more...Great!
If not you haven`t wasted your life being afraid or fighting.

This contains non-Christian elements.

Does studying, reflecting and mediating on religions (man's effort to become moral and therefore be 'saved') and using examples of individuals (as examples to live up to in life) make me a boastful, proud, distorter and a liar.

I was thinking to a older posting on this website, as the attension came:
1: to my approach in study (false examples-explained later)
2: distortion or avoidance or manipulating of the truth and reality (assumptions, ideas, thoughts and adding personal touches) and
3:poor movement to exterminate bias in the material under study (not looking into everything fully).

I believe in soemthing called the 'Ultimate Reality' that is the truth unbeknown to humanity, and all Earthly religions(esp of non Christains) are attempts by man to abide less to a law (in society) but to grow spiritually and assit man for the better. This reality may be the Christian reality, but I am not sure.

I like Buddhism, but all of this lovie-dovie stuff about compassion kinda gets me. Yes, I understand that I have to let go of hatred and anger, but does that mean that I now have to love the people I despise? I could do whats smart and not warn them about their karmic consequences. Then I can rest assure that mother nature will make life misurable for them. Can this work in Buddhism?

Say a muslim man is in paradise, getting ready to fornicate with the first virgin. After that first time, she won't be a virgin anymore. So once he's had sex with all the 70 or 72 or whatever, does he get 72 more? The first lot won't be virgins anymore. What's the story then, can someone please clarify this troubling dilemma?

Also, all those virgins must be dead because they are in paradise. Will muslim men have to have sex with dead virgins?

These are serious questions, and need serious answers. I want someone to explain these issues.

I am a Christian. I read my horoscope each day, but I don't take it seriously. Is that OK?
