Everything I have read about religion seems to be the definition of myth. Stories passed down and changed to suit the times.

The reason religion is not listed under Mythology and Folklore is because religion has nothing to do with these two things. However, religion is not stable. You can't rely on religion. If you want to believe in something, believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior and have a relationship with God. He loves you, you know.

The ones listed in Religion and Spirituality now will be considered mythology in another 2000 years. It's always just a matter of time...with the possible exceptions of Judaism and (especially) Hinduism. They've already been around for quite some time.

Religion is divine truth revealed by the Messengers of the One True God, clearly recorded in the Holy Books.
Mythology and Folklores are tales thought of by men.
Be careful lest confusion may lead us to painful loss.

Perhaps because there is evidence that indicates the validity of "true" religion? After all you haven't read everything on the subject, have you? If you begin your research with a preconceived bias you will likely find the answer you desire.

C. S. Lewis set out to prove the absence of God and through honest examination of historical data and ethics. Read his essays and discover his conclusions.

Technically that does not appear to be possible. Yahoo Answers appears to employ a three level hierarchy for categories, and "Mythology and Folklore" is a third level hierarchy.

in the mind of reason religion is nothing more than folklore-it just forms part of culture-this is because religion is something invented--not totally beacause religion was bound to pop up during the course of human history(when we were still cavemen--and religion never stopped existing)

It's not about a religion-it's about a personal relationship with Jesus. It is God's word to us and our instruction manual for life.
Oh-one more thing--no one has ever factually disproved the Bible.
