Is changing the Sabbath day (Saturday Sabbath or Lord's Day) To Sunday a teaching of men? If not, show me a scripture that says, its been Changed to Sunday as a New Law. Afterall, a Commandment, that starts out by saying REMEMBER, Should it be forgotten? Exodus 20:8-11. Honest Answers. Is Sunday worship a Tradition of Men?
Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Everyday is to give to the Lord, in Prayer, in Good Works, but the Sabbath Day is a Day of Rest, use it as a Special
Appointment with God. He Blessed that Day and no Other!

Someone Said the bible is a useless guide, Did Satan win you over? He does use the Bible to Get you to Leave God. But God made the Bible to Bring you to him. God is not the author of Confusion. Just pray for the answers and don't follow man or your heart, follow God. You can't go wrong if you do what Jesus did.

Just because disciples meet on a Sunday, doesn't mean its now a new Sabbath. The Meet to do work, by the way. Which couldn't be done on a Sabbath Day

The Bible supports the Sabbath(Saturday). It never says to keep Sunday Holy. Yes Sunday is a tradition of man.
Why do most people go to church on Sunday there are about 11 reasons but they are NOT supported by the Bible.
I will explain each of the 11 reasons below it may be a little long, but it will cover all the reasons.
1.The early church changed
NO WHERE in the Bible does the early church say “The new day of worship is Sunday” There is NO verse in the Bible to support this.
The early church kept the Sabbath
The apostles kept the Sabbath
Acts 13:14
Acts 13:42
Acts 13:44
Acts 16:13
Acts 17:2
Acts 18:4
the Gentiles went to Church on Sabbath
Acts 13:42
Acts 17:1-4
Acts 18
2.Sunday is the new Sabbath because of the resurrection, or petecost etc
Ok and where does the Bible say worship on Sunday because of any of these events? NO WHERE
No verse in the Bible says worship on Sunday due to the Resurrection. God said that Baptism is symbol of the death and resurrection of Christ
Colossians 2:12
Romans 6:3-4
Galatians 3:27
3.Jesus fulfilled the law so the Sabbath is gone
Matt 5:17
"Do NOT THINK that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I HAVE NOT come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
does fulfill mean do away with or end
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to do away with them.
Isn’t that the contradictory?
4.We can’t tell which day
So, ENTIRE Jewish Nation all over the ENTIRE world woke up one morning and EVERY one of them forgot which day was the Sabbath?
That is not logical
The change of the calendar had no effect on the weekly cycle
The US Naval Observatory and the Royal Observatory both confirm the 7th day Sabbath(Saturday) is the SAME Sabbath that Jesus kept.
Mark 16 says that Jesus rose the day after the Sabbath. We all know Jesus rose on Sunday... so what day is the Sabbath?
Some people say “God didn’t name the days Sunday, Monday, Tuesday etc so we don’t have to keep it.”
Essentially what these people are saying is because we speak a different language from the Jews we don’t have to do what God says
5.It does not matter which day WE choose
God did not say "Pick a day to worship" He said "THE" 7th day is "THE" Sabbath. The word "THE" means a specific item.
The first person to say "It doesn't matter how we worship God" is Cain. Cain said "It doesn't matter how we worship God as long as we give something God will accept it. God does not care as long as you give and call it holy. Don't be legalistic Abel."
Was he right?
Is God specific about what He says.
6.It was only for the Jews, or The Jewish Sabbath is Saturday and the Christian Sabbath is Sunday
The Sabbath was given to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden 1000 yrs before the first JEW was born Genesis 2:1-3 if they were Jews we all are Jews and STILL need to keep the Sabbath
There is NO SUCH THING as "The Jewish Sabbath and the Christian Sabbath". There is ONLY ONE Sabbath day regardless of religion, race, nationality or language. The 7th day Sabbath does not belong to the Jews it belongs to God, "I am Lord of the Sabbath" Jesus said. In addition "The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord" Exodus 20:8-11
7.Sunday has always been the Sabbath
This contradicts the Mark 16 which says Jesus rose the day after the Sabbath on the first day of the week.
8.we are under the new covenant
Hebrews 8:7-12 says
For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.(What was the problem?) But God found fault with the PEOPLE and said "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a nEW COVENANT with the house of ISRAEL and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt (Why?), because THEY DID NOT REMAIN FAITHFUL TO MY COVENANT, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord. This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts.
The Old Covenant- the people failed to keep their part “They said we will do it” Exodus 19:8 and they failed
The problem with the Old covenant was the people failed to keep it. There was nothing wrong with the law.
The Old Covenant was based on the people, God says “If you will...then I will” Exodus 19:5
The New Covenant is based on God, God says “I will and I will”
Where does God say that He is changing some of the laws? Where does God say that He is doing away with the Sabbath?
The New covenant, same law
9.Jesus broke the Sabbath
If Jesus broke the Sabbath then how can he say “I have kept my Fathers commandments John 15:10
10.We worship on the lord’s day … Sunday
Again, NOT ONE verse to support this claim, nor is there any verse in the Bible calling Sunday the Lord's Day. the only days called the Lord's day is the Sabbath(Saturday) and the day of Christ’s 2nd coming
Exodus 20:8
Isa 58:13,14
Matthew 12:8
Mark 2:28
Luke 6:5
Provide ONE verse that calls Sunday the Lord's Day
11.We don’t have to keep the Old law anymore we are under the spirit of the Law Love God and your neighbor
A) Is it ok to murder people? Is it ok to commit adultery? Or steal or worship other gods or be disrespectful to your parents? Then why are we getting rid of the only commandment that starts with “Remember”?
B)Does the Spirit of the Law void the Letter?
Spirit- don’t hate your brother
Letter- don’t murder
Spirit- don’t lust
Letter- don’t commit adultery
Spirit- Let you yes be yes and no be no
Letter- Don’t bare false witness
How can you keep the spirit and break the letter?
C) Jesus is quoting the “Old” Law when he says love God and your neighbor
Love God – Deut 6:5
Love your neighbor Lev 19:18
D) Mosaic law was done away with but the Mosaic law is different from the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments are eternal written in fire with the finger of God, Mosaic is temporary written by Moses.
12.We worship God everyday
This is a last ditched effort when people realize they have no Biblical basis to support violating God’s command by ignoring the Sabbath and worshiping on Sunday. It is a way to sound holier than thou willfully disobeying God
The disciples worshiped God everyday and they ALL kept the Sabbath.
Jesus prayed to His Father in Heaven everyday in addition to the fact that He is God and He still kept the Sabbath
Luke 4:16
Matthew 12:9,10
Mark 1:21
Mark 6:2 Luke 4:16
Luke 4:31
Luke 13:10
The Bible shows that If you worship everyday you STILL keep the Sabbath
Some may quote Acts 20:7
but where in this verse does this say that the Sabbath is done away with?
Where does this verse say that we should keep Sunday Holy?
Where does this verse say that it was common to meet on Sunday?
The verse tells us why the met on Sunday because Paul was leaving the next day
Revelation 14 says that 3 messages go out to the world right before the end comes. The first message says worship the creator and then it quotes the 4th commandment.
God is calling his people to return to the commandments and worship Him as He has described. He wants His people to leave man made traditions and come back to His word.

Jesus the Christ begotten of the Father in unity of the Holy Spirit chose Sunday as the Day of Resurrection from the dead, and later the Holy Spirit came down upon the Apostles of Pentecost on Sunday.
Mt 28:18-20, Jn 20:23, 1 Cor 11:23-24, Lk 10:16, Mt 18:17-18, Jn 16:13, Jn 14:26, Lk 10:16, 1 Tim 3:15, 1 Jn 2:27, Acts 15:28, Mt 28:20, Mt 16:19* to name a few!
This day, Sunday, is the "first fruits" of our Christian week, thus we as "True Christians" give this day entirely to God.
Saturday is the last day of the Old Covenant.
The consecration of the Day of our Salvation is fitting the New Sabbath of the New Covenant given by Jesus Christ directly through His actions in unity with the Father and Holy Spirit.
As for me and my household, we shall follow our Lord Jesus Christ in word and in action.
Praise be Jesus Christ now and forever.

Acts 20:7 mentions the apostles meeting together on the first day of the week. I would imagine that is Sunday. I think Jesus mostly cares about us worshiping him, and isn't too particular about the day of the week. Are you a Seventh Day Adventist, just out of curiosity?
Just another thought: Jesus was resurrected on the Lord's day, which is Sunday. It would make more sense to do sacraments on the day of resurrection. But the calendar days have probably all been switched around a bit in the course of 2000 years. Maybe Wednesday is really the Lord's Day? I'm not a theologian, so don't get angry if I've expressed any ignorance in this matter.

Jesus rose on a SUnday
Jesus appeared on a SUnday
Jesus appeared the next Sunday
Pentacost was on a Sunday
Eutichus fell out of the window on SUnday
The apostels ordered collection of giving on every Sunday
Revelation the last book of the Bible was given on Sunday
ummmm
sounds like it was God's idea..
but it is not the most important thing..
and in a sense believign on Jesus is entering a greater Sabaath, faith, leaning on the work of Jesus on the cross...
I think whether Saturday or Sunday, is not the most substantial issue and we can disagree, but I think there is ample reason to believe the above examples God led the church to make Sunday the Lords Day... but as pointed out... the LOrd's Day is not exactly the same as a Sabbath... but has some similarities... the ultimate Sabath in the book of Hebrews is faith in Jesus

Sunday is the Lords day, not the Sabbath. Everyday is to be the Sabbath.
Remember the Sabbath, to keep it Holy. Each day is a day of rest in the Lord, and we should remember the Lord Everyday, not just on Saturday, or Sunday!

The Sabbath was instituted for the Hebrew people as a reminder of God resting after creation. They were to set aside that day to reflect on God and worship Him. When the New Covenant came into effect, after the resurrection, the Church gathered on the first day of week, the day Christ rose from the dead. They met to remember the rest given to man from his works to satisfy God.
Act 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul discoursed with them, intending to depart on the morrow; and prolonged his speech until midnight.
Act 20:8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber where we were gathered together.

Sunday just so happens to be a good day that a lot of people don't have to go to their jobs, so it is easy to get together that time of the week to fellowship and worship with fellow believers. It is not a teaching, but rather an idea (a good one at that) to get together on the seemingly best day of the week to do it. No matter what day the worship, worship is always good. Sunday, Monday, Friday, everyday. That doesn't make it a tradition.
Jesus redeemed us and freed us from the curse of the Law. We no longer live under it, but under His blood. No one's going to hell for going to church on the "wrong day".

How petty can you get to fight over which is the sabbath day. It depends on which day of the week you are counting from of course any seventh day can be the sabbath How truly silly Christians are. If you would use a little logic and reason you could see how little difference the hold thing makes anyway. God is only a figment of your minds. Why do you stay locked in your cocoon of ignorance? Why cant you burst out into reality like a beautiful butterfly. BB

Exodus 20
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it bholy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it
It never says which day is the seventh day. When the Romans "invented" the calender they could have changed it around

I'm sure that you'll get answers on both sides of the argument because Christianity is whatever you want it to be, and the Bible says whatever you want it to say. I know this because there are thousands of different denominations all believing and teaching different things based on the same Bible and each one claiming that all the others are wrong. The Bible is useless as a guide to anything.
