How many of you understand the phrase "God loves you"? I really have to wonder after reading some of the comments I see here. We get a bad rap for being intolerant and judgmental and some of you willingly prove it. I see this and I'm a freakin' fundamentalist.

Sure there are people here who want to yank your chain, belittle you and pose impossible-to-answer questions for the fun of it. Ha ha ha. So what. There are also people here who have serious questions. Maybe the way they phrase it makes you want to puke. Are you here to fight your personal battles or the Lord's?

If a question gets your feathers up, just ignore it. Move on. But if you do decide to answer a question, do it out of love and know what you're talking about so you don't end up mocking God.

Even if you answer out of love, some will still call you intolerant and judgmental. You should expect that. This world sucks. But we're called to "in the world, not of this world." So share the gospel of Jesus Christ the way He did.

Opinionated, I know there are people here who aren't who they claim. Satan has his hand in (almost) everything.

daffde, you're missing the point. We are not debating if God is real. We are coming to terms with our own human shortcomings – that no matter how much we're into God, we still goof up and act, well, human. And God still loves us! You too! And if I may speak for the other Christians here, our beliefs are very strong. That's what it's all about.

Factorywrench, I understand what you are saying. My intent was to build up. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. Read the responses. They're honest. From the heart. These brothers and sisters have built me up and the Kingdom. And do you think that maybe some nonbelievers have read this also? That our comments have softened their hearts. Maybe they see us now in a different light. God put it my heart to write this. I was a little nervous to be honest with you. Didn't know what to expect. But for a few minutes, there was peace on this forum. Let's see if we can turn that into days.

First, I appreciate your comments. We must always answer in love, even when the question itself reflects an attitude of hate. We must return kindness to our enemies. Now in answer to your question, "How many understand the phrase 'God loves you?'": None of us are able to understand the fullness of God's love, at least not in an analytical sense. Our understanding is that of a child at the breast of its mother. Simple and accepting. We spend eternity coming to terms with the simplicity and awesomeness of God's gift.

True that. I don't understand the concept of living a life with no belief in an afterlife.

I'd rather try to believe in a God and practice religeon during my lifetime that be a condescending know-it all, certain that there is no God. What if no god exists? What have I lost by praying to God during my lifetime? Nothing. But if I choose not to believe, and the Bible is factual, well....

Yeah.

I don't get worked up over religeon much. I believe in God. Woo.

Oh, so you mean that Christianity isn't a set of morals, but for us to have a personal relationship with Christ? So, we shouldn't judge others, and know that when they are mocking us for being followers, they are mocking God? We should love others, as Christ loved us first?

Amen.

I love God, and I not thinking about other saying anything, when my time comes its will come, if i have to go to church because i was force to, I wouldn't go there. But, if i doing for the sake of my love for God, i would do it, in some condition, because people usually in Church are bad. Just do your normal life, and be as normal as u can, God will take care of you, if you have to fight, then fight for it. Be careful with misunderstand with other people. I have a person who only calling me, to go to his church, and never call me, when its has nothing to do with church. for that reason, i don't pick up a phone. Just be as normal as you can, but be little wise, because to many dumb people out there. try to do best for child when, comes with your life.

Yes, too many only feel love in their heart for family, neighbors or fellow church goers. God doesn't have any of these limits and therefore no religion that praises God should either.

Sadly, it seems that some churches never even teach God’s love, they only teach fear of hell. It is very troubling because fear acts like a wall and keeps people from feeling all the love and comfort that God wants them to have.

You make a convincing arguement. I must admit I have my moments of forked tongue(or fingers as the case may be) Though I do have to say sometimes its just so much fun to sling back the mud thrust upon us.

Very good point. I as a Christian have prayed to Jesus to help me deal with the Religious prejudice that is thrown my way. And he answered. That is why my answers arent getting deleted as much anymore.

Religion is the true evil. You have all been fooled as many before you have fooled. You are under their control. You do as you're told. My wish for humanity is for everyone to have Freedom of thought.
