Isaiah 13 is a prophecy against Babylon. Hosea is a prophecy against Israel and Samaria. (Nothing about an anti-Christ in either of them.) In both of them, God says that their babies will be dashed against the ground. Does God enjoy this sort of thing? Because he sure does prophesy it a lot, as if he looks forward to it. He certainly gives no indication that it will make him sad or angry or horrified. I know I would be horrified to see such a thing, but God declares it as if it's no big deal, just another punishment to a wicked people. Whatever the adults did to piss him off, I see no reason why he should stand by and make the children be brutally punished for it. Good grief, imagine if it were YOUR baby being picked up by the feet and swung against the ground so that its head and body burst open! And then imagine that God made it happen so that YOU would be punished for your sins.

Are you surprised at the evil men do? He said that that was what would happen when the enemy came upon them. Men don't need God to tell them to war with each other, and to murder their own children. How is that any different from what is prophesed about the day we're living in?

edit:

Has God said, go and murder your unborn baby because you have a right to do what you want with your own body?

Isa 13:16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

Hos 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

And the other verses that liberally sprinkle the bible, the killing of the first born to take but one off the top of my head? Or do Egyptians not count as people?

To all those verses pertaining to 'death to the firstborn', etc are all because of God's judgment. God punished them because of their rebellion and disobedience to Him. Just like the story of Sodom and Gomorrah - they took pleasure in their sin instead of being obedient to God and living their lives for God. They were destroyed because of their sin and defiance against the Almighty God. God does not 'kill' people. He brings people under judgment for their rebellion against Him. God says in His word, "If you are not for me, you are against me" - period. Those who disobeys Him and takes pleasure in sin, then they will face His judgment and wrath - that's all there is to it. Those who do not understand the bible greatly misinterpret it and twist the truth around.

Romans 1:18 - For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.

2 Peter 2:1-3 - But there wree false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 - And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 - And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time ingereth not, and tehir damnation slumbereth not.

1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Romans 1:24-32 - Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies etween themselves: 25 - Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the /Creator, who is blessed for ever, Amen. 26 - For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 - And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one tward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 - And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 - Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 - Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 - Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 - Who knowing the judgement of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
