Hi! I'm Christian and God has given my the gift of science. I know that it is when the Holy Spirit reveals to people about God's mysteries and tells a person what somebody else is passing through a tribulation. I wonder if there's anything else to this gift. Does someone knows anything else about it?
Thanks! ;)

Postwar Christian apologists have put perhaps their greatest efforts into creating the myth that Adolf Hitler was not a Christian. An entire cottage industry seems to have sprung up around the desire to perpetuate this myth, and while its motivations are perfectly understandable (who would want to be associated with Hitler in any way?), its dishonesty is unjustifiable. The truth, however uncomfortable, is still the truth.

He believed that Jesus of Nazareth was an Aryan, not a Jew, and that Jesus fought the Jews and was killed by them. He believed in life after death, the supreme being, and universal creation. He opposed the Catholic church only because its seat of power was in Rome, not Berlin. He was intolerant of competing versions of Christianity (an approach lifted directly from the Catholic playbook), but at no time did he ever commit acts or express beliefs which were not expressed by other Christians before him.
He believed that the Aryan race was descended from Adam and Eve

I keep hearing how Noah dind't have to bring two of each species onto the ark but only two of each kind. The argument is that since the end of the flood, there has been a genetic deterioration amongst 'kinds' that has caused all the species that we see today.

So, here is a question for anyone who believes in the flood. Aside from humans, what primates were on the ark?

.. more sacrifice for sins."? Also, following verses; 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?" Hebrews 10:26-29
How do others interpret these verses? How can people sin willfully, count the blood of the covenant unholy and do despite to the Spirit of grace?

Does God forgive if you keep doing the same bad thing over and over again??

I love my Lord and Savior. I preach about Him all the time because He has done amazing things for me, and amazing things through me. But I have addictions. Two that I am very embarassed and ashamed about, which is why here is the only place I'm talking about them.
First one, I have bipolar depression - get realy sad and I cut.
Second, mastrbation. Both shameful... which leads back to my question..

Does God forgive even if you keep doing the same bad thing over again?

Just SOME of the differences between the two include:

1. Taxes (Married people benefit; civil unions don't.)

2. Estate taxes (Married people can pass property free of charge to the surviving spouse; civil unions must pay.)

3. Hospital visitation rights

4. Hospital decision rights (Pull the plug? Keep them alive? Civil unions have no say.)

5. Property rights (If your civil union partner dumps you after 10 years, you usually can't get half the stuff. If you've been the "homemaker", you're out on the street without a penny to your name.)

6. Adoption rights

And many other differences.

I'm not saying you should be in favor of gay marriage. I'm asking why some of you say that we "don't need" gay marriage because civil unions are "the same". Isn't it obvious that they AREN'T the same?

Notice both are touchy, preachy and don't answer questions just have these answers like "I love Jesus" or "make fun of christians" yadda yadda...oh so polite...but not! Also notice, they seem to fail at wit and insults........in a sameish sort of way...
Its like they are only here to have there opinion vindicated..not think..or to hope you'll think like them and be saved/not saved whatever.

I think maybe if some of us have any "religion" "NOT NOT NOT!!!!religion" questions we should hit up philoss and put up with the obligatory "this is a R and S question" people(the same s.m.r.tys who point out misspellings).......your thoughts?

A group of human beings linked together by certain common systems, traditions, conventions and laws and leading a collective life, forms a society. A collective life does not mean that a group of men should necessarily be living side by side in a particular region and should be utilizing the same climate and consuming the same kind of foodstuffs. The trees of a garden live side by side, utilize the same climate and consume the same type of nourishment. Similarly the herd of deer graze together and move together. But neither the deer of one herd nor the trees lead a collective life nor do they, form a society. Human life is social in the sense that it has a 'social nature'. Human needs, achievements, enjoyments and activities all have a social nature, for they all are closely linked with certain customs, usages and systems of division of work, division of gains and division of the fulfilment of needs. There are certain dominating thoughts, ideas and habits which keep a particular group of people united. In other words a society is a collection of people who are compelled by certain pressing needs and influenced by certain beliefs, ideas and ambitions, to be amalgamated together and lead a common life. Common social needs and the special relations of human life so unite people that they become like passengers travelling together in one automobile, in one aeroplane or aboard one boat heading towards a particular destination where either they all reach or none of them reaches. On their way if they face any danger they face it together and have a common destiny. The Holy Prophet while describing the philosophy behind exhortation to what is good and restraining from what is evil, has used a beautiful similitude. He has said: "A group of people embarked a boat which sailed and cleaved the bosom of the sea. Every passenger was sitting in his own place. One of the passengers on the plea that the place where he was sitting exclusively belonged to him, began to make a hole at his place. If other passengers immediately caught hold of his hand and restrained him from making a hole, they would not only save themselves but would save him also".

One of the basic laws of science is the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, which says that everything is breaking down, going from a state of order to disorder. Every field of science recognizes this law except one, biology. Biology says that single cell organisms joined together to form more and more complicated organisms, breaking the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. Biology is the only branch of science that doesn't recognize this law. HOW COME?
