Postwar Christian apologists have put perhaps their greatest efforts into creating the myth that Adolf Hitler was not a Christian. An entire cottage industry seems to have sprung up around the desire to perpetuate this myth, and while its motivations are perfectly understandable (who would want to be associated with Hitler in any way?), its dishonesty is unjustifiable. The truth, however uncomfortable, is still the truth.
He believed that Jesus of Nazareth was an Aryan, not a Jew, and that Jesus fought the Jews and was killed by them. He believed in life after death, the supreme being, and universal creation. He opposed the Catholic church only because its seat of power was in Rome, not Berlin. He was intolerant of competing versions of Christianity (an approach lifted directly from the Catholic playbook), but at no time did he ever commit acts or express beliefs which were not expressed by other Christians before him.
He believed that the Aryan race was descended from Adam and Eve

Who cares if Hitler was a Christian? That hardly taints the faith anymore than the president taints Texas.
Since he killed more of "us" - Lutheran type - than you - Texans, let me suggest that given free will by a loving God and freedom of speech by our doctrine, you will find most everything has been said by Christians of one stripe or another. After 2000 years and with a billion or so followers, iit would be hard to find an opinion not expressed. Shudder - one would have to be as dynamically creative w/ irrelevancy as you, GTW, to find such.
Hey - I believe the Aryan race was descended from A & E - so do the paleoarchaeologists mapping the mDNA. Matter of fact they are now prepared to say ALL RACES - maybe even Asian, my my, are descended from the couple identified as Humanity and Mother of Life. Shocker! Check it out GTW - mDNA can be traced further back. They have gotten to on of the first four generations and in tribute to intelligence - not inference - have named first mother....That's right~ EVE!

Hitler's religious beliefs
Main article: Adolf Hitler's religious beliefs
Adolf Hitler was brought up in his family's religion by his Roman Catholic parents, but as a school boy he began to reject the Church and Catholicism. After he had left home, he never attended Mass or received the Sacraments.
In later life, Hitler's religious beliefs present a discrepant picture: In public statements, he frequently spoke positively about the Christian heritage of German culture and belief in Christ. Hitler’s private statements, reported by his intimates, are more mixed, showing Hitler as a religious but also critical of Christianity. However, in contrast to other Nazi leaders, Hitler did not adhere to esoteric ideas, occultism, or neo-paganism, and ridiculed such beliefs in his book Mein Kampf. Rather, Hitler advocated a "Positive Christianity", a belief system purged from what he objected to in traditional Christianity, and reinvented Jesus as a fighter against the Jews.[citation needed]
Hitler believed in a Social Darwinist struggle for survival between the different races, among which the "Aryan race" - guided by "Providence" - was supposed to be the torchbearers of civilization and the Jews as enemies of all civilization. Whether his anti-semitism was influenced by older Christian ideas remains disputed.
Among Christian denominations, Hitler favoured Protestantism, which was more open to such reinterpretations. At the same time, he made use of some elements of the Catholic Church's hierarchical organisation, liturgy and phraseology in his politics.

Evil knows no theological boundaries.
Ask Christians like Hitler.
Ask Muslims like Osama Bin Laden.
Ask Atheists like Mao Tse-Tung, Joseph Stalin, Slobodan Milosevic or leaders of the Khmers Rouges.
Government and the quest for absolute power, not religion, has been the greatest source of death and destruction. And the quest for absolute power by non-democratic governments is usually the source of the greatest carnage.

Hitler thought of himself as a Christian and had the whole scriptures mixed up (Satan is good at mixing up Gods word). He was not a real Christian though, because being a Christian is not something you just confess but is justified by your acts. Hitler believed the Jews crusified Jesus and wanted revenge on the Jews for that. He thought he was doing for God. He actually was a deeply religious person, which explains how we have to know our word of God because Satan can twist it up.

First of all you already answered your own question. You could be reported for that but I won't.
Where did you get your facts? You should have cited your sources. What I know is Hitler was influenced by the atheist Nietzsche that it was alright to slaughter 6 million Jews. That is a historical fact. Read the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich

Before Mein Fuhrer went into politics he was a painter, and was going to be a catholic priest. He was an altar boy, baptized, and spoke strongly of God. His views became twisted however and never lost sight of his ultimate goal which can be seen many time while reading Mein Kampf. In a spiritual form to everyone else he wasn't a christian, to himself he was, and to the Church he was.

Hitler was also German, a man, an artist, a Catholic (as you mention) and a history buff. People will always use an unrepresentative sample to demonize the opposition. I have yet to find any category of adult human beings who did not produce a horrendous example.

Its puzzling to entice close. Hitler claimed to be a Christian this style of number of evaluate him to were one, yet he claimed to be a variety of of issues if it helped him to achieve sufficient acceptance to win the election. In Germany in the 1930's if he brazenly spoke out to be an atheist he does no longer were so regular so it would have made sense that he claimed to be a Christian. some declare that he wasn't because he created the reich church as christian beliefs in peace were no longer nicely suitable with Nazi recommendations. Pope Pius XI obviously did not like him and referred to as him 'an smug prophet with repulsive conceitedness' which grow to be examine in each Catholic church in Germany, even with the Nazi's good propaganda gadget. Hitler grow to be obviously disliked by using Christian leaders interior of Germany, i.e. the Catholic Archbishop of Munster, von Galen, led a efficient campaign to end euthanasia of mentally-disabled people and many Protestant pastors, led by using Martin Niemöller, shaped the Confessional Church in competition to Hitler's Reich Church. Niemöller grow to be held in a spotlight camp in the course of the era 1937-1945. yet another Protestant pastor, Dietrich Bonhöffer, took section in the 1944 bomb plot and grow to be finished. So frequently even with the actual incontrovertible truth that Hitlers substantial inner competition and project grow to be Christianity notwithstanding that's unknown how he practised his own beliefs, for this reason the topic matters open to communicate.

so...your point is....basically Hitler twisted the WOrd of God to suit his own adgenda. That is not a reflection of true Christianity no matter what you want to believe. Hitler did not know MY Savior, Jesus Christ. He was an occultist and a murderer. why are you so intent on discrediting CHristianity? What is the point of your question? Is it to lump other Christians in with the likes of Hitler?

While Adolph Hitler may have professed a brand of Christianity he was not a true Christian. Anyone can claim to belong to a religion but the Bible is clear about what constitutes a genuine Christian.
Romans 8:6 To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. (7) For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. (8) Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. (9) You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Someone who goes around gathering up innocent Jewish people and putting them into death camps obviously is not a person who has the Spirit of Christ dwelling in them.
