She decribes him as dark with a large nose and big lips and speaks to her. I had a dream about a man who was buried under my house, which is off an old cattle drive road. Could Papanos be a real sprit? I guess that is the way you would spell it or popanos. Concerned parent

First of all, just because it may be a spirit, doesn't mean it's a deamon. There are things that we can't see around us all the time, and they aren't deamons. Second, kids still have a link open to heaven. They see things that most of us can't. There could be someone there. It may just be his "guardian spirit" or whatever you want to call him. He could a spirit that was on the land at one time, before the house was built. It's also possible that he is an imaginary friend. Kids do have good imaginations.

I have to say that my daughter has done some strange things the past little while. My grandpa died a little over a week before christmas, and we were at his funeral. My daughter kept pointing behind the pulpit, behind everyone on the pulpit and kept saying "Jesus" over and over again. Then she pointed to the side of the chapel and kept saying "gumpa", which is how she says Grandpa. She kept waving at him and saying "Hi!!" I couldn't see him, but maybe he really was there and she really did see him. Maybe there were others there listening that reminded her of Jesus. Who knows. But I'm sure there was something there that I didn't see.

I also grew up in a haunted house. At times, it was scary. We found out that the guy that was haunting our house owned the land before he died. The land was sold by his family and then split up and sold to build houses on. I think he was mad because they had gone against what he wanted. We did the research and found the deed to the land that was in his name, there was a copy of his will that showed that he left the land to his family, and express orders to keep it in the family for X amount of years. It was sold within a few years of his death, so it went against what he wanted. We ended up have the land blessed and he went away.

Do some research on the land itself and see if there was indians in the area, or who the land belonged to. It may too that the records don't go back that far, but it might be worth checking out. You can have your daughter tell him to go away, that he's dead and he needs to go to God, or to whoever he believes in. Talk to your religious leaders. They might have something they can tell you that you can do yourself to help. Good luck!!!

Hi Ms K.

Children are not bound by the earthy restraints that most of us have as adults. They have yet to incorporate those "don't believe" thoughts in their little minds, so yes they are able to see things that most adults cannot. The big drawback is that children are unable to translate exactly what they see or know from these spirits and it becomes a game of 20 questions that usually end up frustrating the child until they pay us no more attention on the subject.

Spirits sometimes speak to us adults in dreams as it is easier for them to communicate. I do not feel that this spirit means you any harm and that he lived and worked on that exact spot that use to be a large plantation at one time taking up quite a bit of land around there. Only you can verify the past information about your land, but I think if you look hard enough you will discover that there was a caretaker that looked after the children of the house, feeding them, and making sure they stayed clear of trouble while dad tended his daily duties...however I do not see a Mom so something may have happened to her that made his job so important.

If my answer made you uncomfortable I apologize. You can always have the house blessed by whatever religion you subscribe to.

I wish you all the best and bright blessings.

Before I got too carried away - establish if its an imaginary friend by learning what conversation this Papanos has with your child.

Find out simply by casual conversation. "By the way, daughter, have you seen Papanous today? You did? What did he say? -or- Did he say anything special? He did? What did he tell you?

Whatever she says - don't press too hard and wait till the next day or maybe two days later and do the same thing.

You should be able to tell from her responses - if the content sounds like typical kid stuff, its an imaginary friend. If it sounds disturbing THEN seek spiritual help from a local Apostolic preacher.., look in your Phone book.

My three year old niece has a pet dog named Gaps. She can describe him to you and always reminds people when they are in the room to be careful to not step on Gaps. Gaps is her imaginary dog. My guess would be that your little girl has an imaginary friend named papanos. Their imaginations become so vivid at this age and I believe they take elements of people and things they have really seen and create this person, dog, thing etc.

I am not sure if it could be the real person's spirit. Have you tried to get your house annoited?? Also, I have had some weird experances in my home, with my kids also. I have come to believe that sometimes that something in someones life impacted them sooo much that it becomes actually embedded in that place, and that if we are spiritually intune (most kids are) we can actually see it as if it were real.

My sister is going through the exact same thing with her daughter right now. They have moved from house to house and one of their four children is always having issues like this.

I don't know what exactly this is, but she told her daughter the next time she sees him to ask him what he wants and why is he here. My niece did that and he (according to her) disappeared and hasn't been back. That was a few weeks ago and she was seeing him everyday.

Imagineation....spirit....who knows? Tell your daughter to go this route and see what happens.

very imaginative child you have.

you must have lost someone dear...

im sure you dreamt of this man in search for an answer to you child's imaginary friend. in other words, you will not have the possibility of dreaming of such a person existing if your child had never mentioned him to you... why is he person buried under your house? does papanos sound like a poor person to you?

It could be the child's imagination or it could be an evil spirit seeking to lead the child into the occult realm. It certainly isn't a human spirit because people either go to be with Jesus or to the place of the dead to await final judgment. If I were you I would turn to God in prayer and ask for protection for my child in Jesus' name.

ehhe kids can have imaginations you know? like imaginary friends. I used to swear to every one my friend was real. When in reality i knew he wasnt. I just wanted to have one.

Many psychologist say this is natural for kids coping with explaining a biconcousness.

Believe your baby and do whatever it takes to rid your home of this presence - especially if he is telling her to do horrible things. This spirit is most likely vengeful - if he was killed suddenly and unjustly. You might hire someone to come search under your house. Better safe than sorry. I can not stress how important it is to believe your child. Kids see things, and understand them - they tell the truth. she is young enough that she has not been corrupted by the world into 'knowing' that things like that do not exist. This is, in my opinion, a very real thing indeed.
