In the Bible Old Testament (Deuteronomy specifically) God commands the stoning and killing of sinners. ex.21:18-21 of Deuteronomy. Yet the old testament also says THOU SHALT NOT KILL! why they contradict each other? Also in the new testament one of Jesus' most famous quotes about stoning "those without sin..." denounces it. Were people back then without sin? why is God contradicting himself?

Well I was curios if anyone else thought about this. If it's real and some of the scientific preictions are correct about rising sea levels, famines, etc. I don't know if it is man causing it or it's a naturally occuring event or if it's God preparing for the end.

Jehovah is God's Name. The Devine Being. His son is Joshua. Jesus is the Greek translation for Joshua. Joshua the annointed one. Is the King James God different than Jehovah, our Father? I would expect Jehovah to speak English words that are based in the Hebrew Language. Not the Greek. He would call His Son Joshua.

Look at the similarities: - two other people executed as well, crowd jeering, everyone glad to be rid of this guy, the executed man staying true to his convictions. By God I hope they didn't kill an undeserving guy again

a medium brings evidence of spirit through spirit communications
they are not evil and i have yet to meet one who does not believe in God
they are not fortune tellers and although some may also do psychic readings , these things are kept seperate
they do not predict the future , they do not tell people anything negative
the ones i know ( which are many ) do not take money and even those who do , do not take large amounts , only enough to cover their time as they have given up their own jobs to work with spirit full time
they do not encourage people to leave their own religion
and there are sects of Christian spiritualists who are mediums , therefore many of them believe in Jesus also
i hope this has helped clear some things up for those who were curious ?

Peyote has been used by the native Americans for thousands of years to get in touch with the "spirits".

People don't understand that this is actually a wide-spread phenomenon...People who convert to Buddhism or Krishna or Hinduism.....But also sometimes Christianity..
It is not like a 'pot' smoker or a heroin addict...
Many people only trip once or a few times and that is it for the rest of their lives.
You can't get addicted to acid or peyote.
I'm wondering if any of you have a first hand experience or know someone who had such an experience.....

Misunderstood as a child and had exorcisms performed and chemical shock therapy repeated over a number of years. I guess my question is: would someone want these abilities back or would it be beneficial to relive those moments to bring it all to the surface, forgive and move on?? They've been deeply buried for that long of a time. Starting to surface.

I don't know what to say to people that are Atheists. I mean when a Science Fiction writer has to make up his own! some of these religions are stupid! "yeah umm... i know in order to explain sickness and stuff, an alien called Lord Xenu put billions of people near volcanos and blew 'em up with Hydrogen bombs!"
That is the saddest attempt of any religion to try and explain things.
I am Christian and i think that all Atheists should get out of America now! our Money says UNDER GOD! If you atheists dont want to believe and be cowards, then get out of here! IDC if you think i'm mean but guess what! I dont want my kids to be olauged by people who dont believe.

if I Sin for the 60 or 70 years i may live and go to hell, is it fair that i should experience being burned alive fore ever?? i mean surely just the 60 or 70 years would be more than enough payback for my sins in fact about 5 minutes would be more than enough!!

If no bridge can be built between Christians and Gay people, or if the bridge is open only if gay people meet Christians' conditions either to deny their feelings exist or to pledge celibacy, the the gap between the two groups will be permanent.

What can you imagine would be the beginning point for a conversation between Christians and members of the Gay community? Can you imagine a world in which both groups are transformed through conversation?

If Jesus had turned the water into grapejuice, as some say, wouldn't the Bible have been translated that way?Ditto the Lord's Supper?
