what would he use his legs for? what's his nose and lungs for? does he need to breathe air to survive? does he nead ears, eyes, fingers, nose, etc... to sense his surroundings? I mean wouldn't that sugest that god needs input from the outside to function, and thereby imperfect? this doesn't make sense at all! if god were perfect, then he would't need a body, he would't need organs that are specifically desingned to function in a material world. the human form only makes sense if it exists on earth. So why do people insist that god designed us in his image? don't you think that WE designed HIM in our image?

Are Christians today being discriminated against
by those trying to remove all symbols and songs
of the Christian faith? Will their next move be the
removal of all churches because people can see
them from the street? Maybe in the future, we
Christians will be fed to the lions. Are we getting
overcome by the evil ones?

Evolution is simply random change creating random life forms.

Creation is essentially the idea that some architect made a blueprint and then made some creation based upon it.

If these two definitions are reasonable, then how can one co-exist with the other? Can you have creation by randomness?

"Maybe God set off the random process of evolution with the final result in mind". Problem is, that essentially circular, because you must assume the existance of a creator, of a non-creation process (evolution) to accept the assertion.

Apply Akoms Razor, which is the simpler explaination for the phonemna of life?

Explaination 1: A creator first created a random non-creation process to create creation.

Explaination 2: The random process of evolution had no creator.

I know I will receive many irrelevant answers from angry atheists, but if one more tells me that evolution is proven I am going to cry out of frustration, which I know will probably make them happy. There is a reason it is called a THEORY; there is supporting evidence, yes, concrete proof, no. (There is also plenty of supporting scientific evidence for creationism, but it is ignored or dismissed by most).

I once read that Luther stated that faith and reason cannot exist. Of course Catholic theology is rooted deeply in reason as is the Eastern Church. I am a Protestant but I've become fully convinced by the Greek Fathers (the philosophers not the patriarchs) that reason is essential to a good, Biblical life in Christ. So, please tell me if reason can co-exist with faith and what denomination you're coming from.

God tempts no one : "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone."- (James 1:13)

God tempted Abraham : "And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am" -(Genesis 22:1)

in the original version of the bible when jesus talks to Peter, he says to him: "Peter your are stubborn like a stone" but on later translations that simple sentence was interpreted and traslated as: "Peter you are the stone on which i will establish my church".

A creator seen a perfect world for his creation
his creation would need to evolve in this world as the world had many different environments to it and adjustments would be required
the creator placed his creation there and stepped back ... as his creation had all it needed to survive
free will , logic , reason , intuition , strength , compassion etc
evolution and creation ?
do they need to be seperate ?

I cant tell you how many times I brought up the subject of 'evolution' in front of religious people only to get a knee jerk painfilled rejection of the subject.

Could it be that you hate discussion evolution because you have a subconcsious sense of its truth?

8 million years is a long time, so long in fact, that over that very very long period of time, the product we call "human" was derived from many years of ape-like adaptation to changing environements.

You can cope with the truth religious people....i was the same, and I am fine...i swear you can...

Someone answered a previous question, by saying will never know which is true, because there isn't enough evdience to prove either really, so why do we try to prove one over the other?

They said, evidence for evolution, doesn't explain where the 1st organisms came from, and how they came to be really, its just a theory.

and

CD just say God did it.

So why do we try to prove either, when we really can't?

One God:

(Deuteronomy 6:4) - "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!"

(Isaiah 43:10) - ". . . Before Me [YHWH] there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me."

(Isaiah 44:6) - ". . . there is no God besides Me."

(Isaiah 44:8) - ". . . And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none."

Many gods :

(Genesis 1:26) - "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . ."

(Genesis 3:22) - "And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil . . ."

(Genesis 11:7) - "Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."

(1 Corinthians 8:5) - "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords")."

(1 John 5:8) - "For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement."
