One God:
(Deuteronomy 6:4) - "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!"
(Isaiah 43:10) - ". . . Before Me [YHWH] there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me."
(Isaiah 44:6) - ". . . there is no God besides Me."
(Isaiah 44:8) - ". . . And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none."
Many gods :
(Genesis 1:26) - "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . ."
(Genesis 3:22) - "And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil . . ."
(Genesis 11:7) - "Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
(1 Corinthians 8:5) - "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords")."
(1 John 5:8) - "For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement."

Bible students freely acknowledge the existence of "gods" who are dramatically inferior to Almighty Jehovah God. For example, the bible teaches that Satan is a god, and of course Jesus is a god.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) The god of this system of things [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through
(John 1:18) No man has seen God at any time; [Jesus] the only-begotten god who is in the bosom position with the Father is the one that has explained him. (See also John 1:1)
(1 Corinthians 8:5,6) Even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father
However, there is only one true Almighty God, and His personal name is "Jehovah". True Christians recognize that Jehovah (the Father) requires exclusive devotion, and so they direct ALL of their pure worship in line with that Almighty God's will.
(Exodus 20:5) I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion
Since they reject the idea that lesser "gods" pose any rivalry to the one Almighty God, Christians are monotheists.

(Genesis 1:26) - "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . ."
OUR image means God the Father, God the Son ( Jesus ) and God the Holy Ghost
This is the Trinity ....All, yet one
(Genesis 11:7) - "Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
Same explaination........
(1 Corinthians 8:5) - "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords")."
Man has created many FALSE gods to worship instead of the one REAL God,,,,,,,,,,,,,, this is one case of that happening
(1 John 5:8) - "For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement."
Again..The Father, Son and Holy Ghost........Trinity, all yet one

The passages in Genesis use a word that means plural majesties. In the passage in Deuteronomy the word "one" means unified--as in parts joined into one whole. All the other passages in Genesis refer to God as a plural majesty united in one whole. From Scripture as a whole we understand this to mean God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit--three distinct personalities existing as one God. The passage in I John refers to this.
The passage in I Corinthians uses the small "g" for a reason. There are many "gods." These are "gods" who men worship, many "lords" who rule over men. There is only one true God.
Your question shows a lot of picking out individual passages but not a lot of reading for context and intent. The Bible is not so difficult to understand when you read it sincerely looking for what it is trying to say.
God Bless.

Dude, 1Cor 8:5 as you quoted well, there truly many gods and lords.
However; there is only one being by the name of Yahweh.
Exd 5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who [is] Yahweh, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not Yahweh, neither will I let Israel go.
Exd 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I [am] Yahweh.
Mic 4:5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of Yahweh our Father for ever and ever.

God has 3 distinct personalities, his Holy Spirit, God the Father, and Jesus, his human form. Also, God created the angels first, and other species obviously, as are described in the book of Revelations. He was not alone in heaven before he made us, and quite possibly, we are not the only lifeforms (angels and heavenly beings aside), to have been created. God doesn't tell us everything, nor does he have to. One day, I will ask him the answer to all the things we do not understand, when I see him face to face. Hope to see you there.

There is one living God. He is a triune being (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
There are many gods (idols) that you could worship money, career, houses, sports, TV, video games, lust (your body or someone else)...etc.
Follow the trail of where your money and time leads and you will find an alter and on ther alter is your god.
The gate is narrow that lead to Heaven but the road to hell is wide.
What path will you take? Be careful, it's a matter of life and death.

There is only one God in the Christian religion. Some find it hard to grasp that Christians belive that there is one God in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. One is the answer.

Yea ther is only one God,Jesus is God incarnate Isaias says this taht the God will become flesh.Yea when he says we he is talking to Jesus and Holy spirit who are one in agreement and together. They are one.John says it a "mystery" how God became flesh. So dont let anyone decieve you that Jesus was not God.When they say he is the Son of God back in their times this meant God incarnate that is why they shoued Blasphemy.Oh and there can be God but made up in our minds but they do not exist we make them Gods. There is only one True God and all the others can be called gods but truly arent.Money can be God for you but its not.I pray this helps.

Looks like there were many gods but one got jealous and threatened to burn anyone who followed the others. The idea of one god was useful to some people (one god in heaven, one king on earth) so monotheism was used to keep the elite in power.

There are many, but only one God for this world.
CORINTHIANS 8:5-6
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in HEAVEN or in earth, (as there be GODS MANY, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
