God tempts no one : "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone."- (James 1:13)

God tempted Abraham : "And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am" -(Genesis 22:1)

God was not tempting Abraham. That was a trial for Abraham, whether he had faith enough in God that he would offer up his beloved son. In fact, Abraham did have the faith that God is a God of resurrection, so he willingly offered up Isaac. Because of this God greatly blessed Abraham and his seeds.

The corresponding verse to what happened with Abraham is:
James 1:2-3 "Count it all joy, my brothers, whenever you fall into various trials, Knowing that the proving of your faith works out endurance"

As for James 1:13, the temptation here refers to an inward enticing of lust, as you can see from the verses that follow...
verse 14: "But each one is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own lusts; "

Two different usages. Tempting is enticing or calling someone. The first example is a temtation to do evil. God does not tempt us to do evil. God tempts us to do good. It even says that in that verse in James.

God called Abraham. The word is used to tempt Abraham into an understanding of spiritual truth. God tempts us with truth and love not evil and hate.

NO, THEY DONT.
The translation is wrong, other Bible versions put it right. In Genesis 22:1 it is NOT temp, but: "tested" (NIV, NASB) or "tested and proved" (Amplified), "did prove" (AS), as you see, that are better translations for the Hebrew in the original (the word "nasah"), on the other hand, in James 1:13 is the Greek word "peirazo" which is different from the word which is in 1 pe 1:7, trail:
"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory "
that word is "dokimion".
As you see, there is no contradiction, if we go to the original - which is a good practice, when in doubt (translations always have problems here and there, no matter if it is the Bible or another book).

God Tested Abraham.

That isn't a contradiction, its a contrarity. The word "tempt" can mean "intice to sin," which God does not, or it can mean "test, try," which God does.

Also, the Bible represents a progressive revelation of God. The further back in time you go, the less sophgisticated is the human comprehension of God. That is why the Bible must be interpreted chronologically, from most recent to most ancient.

testing and tempting are different.....Abraham's faith was tested.

G-d does not tempt us with evil or to sin, as it refers to in James.

Read the context once in a while, look at the whole chapter, not one verse.

God does not tempt you with evil. He tests you to see if you are faithful.

Romans 3:28 states that every person is stored by technique of grace. it is actual. James 2:24 is likewise emphasizing that every person is stored by technique of grace yet that sturdy works might desire to be carried out alongside. it is likewise actual. What the James 2:24 is explaining is that as quickly as someone is stored, he/she might desire to do the will of the daddy (obeying His rules). Does it make experience for someone to declare to be a stored Christian yet stay a double existence by technique of happening a homicide rampage? No. What a stored Christian might desire to do is persist with the will of the daddy. As you will discover, those 2 verses do not contradict one yet another.

Dude the problem is you are reading from the twisted King James version.

2Pe 3:16 As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest (twist), as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
