I cant tell you how many times I brought up the subject of 'evolution' in front of religious people only to get a knee jerk painfilled rejection of the subject.

Could it be that you hate discussion evolution because you have a subconcsious sense of its truth?

8 million years is a long time, so long in fact, that over that very very long period of time, the product we call "human" was derived from many years of ape-like adaptation to changing environements.

You can cope with the truth religious people....i was the same, and I am fine...i swear you can...

Well evolution must be true. I don't know how christians could possibly get mad. Oh and just so you know 8 million years was 2 years ago estimate of how long the earths been around last year it moved down to 16 million and now its moved back up to 14 million. The earth's age keeps varying. Oh and with the whole thing of in the last 4000 years nothing has even seemed to evolve I mean thats proof right htere that evolution exists.

I'm religiouse and I enjoy talking about evolution.

I don't berlieve we came from a garden, sorry I'm not a cabbage patch doll,

But I do think that life is a miricle.
You say God is illogical, but christians say that a bunch of particles comming together on a whim, creating the universe out of one big explotion is illogical.

I say it's a miricle that said particles came into existance before there was anything to exist IN, wich therefore provides some evidance of a high power that is outside of comprehention.

God is metophorical, so it would make sense that the bible STORIES, are also metophores. It's the evolutionists, and atheists that are taking them litterally.

I think this is so funny! In my experience, if you post something about debunking evolution the folks who believe in it come out of the woodworks like cock roaches...they try to discredit you and say rude things!

I believe strongly in creation by God, however, my career is in sceince therefore I must look at things objectively! I see where animals have adapted to their environment slightly but do not see anywhere where any animals has actually evolved so greatly. From everything I've studied if it's a frog it remains a frog, even if it does adapt to its environment! That's my opinion!

If you want to see people hiss like vampires in front of garlic go post something debunking evolution and watch the Pro-evolution people...

I think, truthfully, both sides hiss like vampires because many of us believe so strongly. Anything that contradicts what we believe to be the whole truth goes against everything we stand for!

Because they're not secure in their own beliefs and want to throw up a smokescreen to camoflauge their own laziness about learning the truth. They haven't thought things through for themselves, they haven't studied and pondered...they just accepted what they were told.

So when you say something that counters what they were fed, they flip out and want to end the discussion as quickly as possible. Secure people don't mind a good discussion, even an argument. Insecure people are really hard to discuss things with.

And that goes for ANY topic that people haven't figured out for themselves. Not just religious stuff.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

A few religious people accept evolution and creationism, they somehow think they are compatable, however the majority of the Creationists realize that the concept of evolution will tear down thier barbaric religion someday

The evolution theory makes a mockery of the Bible and Jesus Christ. It denies the truth that God is the creator as recorded in the Bible.
Those who love God are truly hurt when others mock him. How would you feel if someone mocked the person you love more than anyone else?

Someone here once said:

"Trying to convince a religious person on the Origins of the Universe and the Evolution of Life is like trying to fight the fog shooting steel-jacketed bullets"

My dear, your theory is just that, a theory. You can not prove anything you've just written. Period. There isn't proof.

Your belief in your theory does not change the facts. Period.

So, when you can offer some hard core proof backed up with facts, then you will probably have more listeners. Until the, it is still an unproven theory.

I think it threatens them. My sister used to argue with me that the dinosaurs never existed and I saw that she felt threatened by the dinosaurs.

Some Christians will deny scientific evidence like the fossels and say it is satanic. My sister said that dinosaurs never existed and that Satan planted fake fossels to decive people like me and I was a Christian at the time. She threw me out of her house when i asked her to explain oil and gasoline because it is fossel fuel.

When I was Christian, I did not understand everything about how they died and it did seem like they existed befor man, but I did not feel threatened by them because there is a whole lot I do not understand.

Because evolution clearly shows that the myths of creation in the bible are simply myths. By accepting truth they would be rejecting their religion.
