I thought we were all God's creatures... Why do Christians (in general) dislike those who are not white, straight or liberal? Please answer using only the letters 'x', 'z', and 'q'. Thank you.

it makes me feel really guilty that i'm thinking that way.

i also feel guilty for feeling so much anger.

but i also feel that i have a right to be angry.

anger, panic, depression, hopelessness, you name it, i'm feeling it, and i really would much rather be happy, and i'm taking steps to make my life more fulfilling. nothing is good enough though.

doesn't god love us and want us to feel happy?

Some fellow has suggested that the Religion of Peace might just be the faith you are looking for.

He asks what other major religion allows a man to have four wives? Only small sects like Mormons do and they are persecuted like criminals for doing so. Maybe some aborigines tribes in Africa, South America or Oceania, but they are too small to consider. Islam has the widest selection of women - about 600 million - just make sure she is not already married.

He then claims that the Qur’an has all the science the Kuffar (infidels) have discovered. Revealed to Muhammad (PBUH) centuries before modern scientist in such diverse fields as medicine, embryology, geology, astronomy - all was spelled out in the Qur’an. Sperm comes out of the backbone, a blood clot the first stage of human development, mountains are pegs that hold the earth's crust and the Sun rises from a murky puddle in the far east. Allah Hu Akbar!

All the time I see people saying "he's not a true Christian," or worse yet, "the entire catholic/methodist/LDS/baptist/etc. group are not true Christians." Can someone please describe in detail what a true Christian is? 10 points for the best description. Copy/Paste from websites won't count.

Why did the early christians not acknowledge it to be so.

For instance Paul spoke adamantly about people giving a message contrary to the one of Christ.

And if he was wrong and evil, then why did he suffer so much being beaten, thrown in prison, shipwrecked, matyred (someone took his life)?

And the other Christians Peter, Stephen? In fact, most of these early Christians believed so strongly that they gave their lives? (someone killed them).

What motivation would they of had to corrupt the gospel?

And I don't mean being a complete oik like Julia. I mean like making jokes and using our intelligence to show up the insanity and wrong-headedness of religious practices.

Why are the icons for our voting in Yahoo Answers consist of a phallic symbol and a symbol of murder? (thumbs up, thumbs down)

seems like these symbols meanings have evolved over time.

(of course, this is not ALL Christians, but the great number I have seen and there is)

Usually when I have some Christian "witness" to me, they take this ridiculous morally arrogant stance. They always tell me how sinful my life is and how I don't want to change my immoral ways even though I haven't said a single word about how I live my life. There are more examples, but I don't want to bore you with them. I find it that majority of the Christians I've spoken to bring this moral arrogance to the table. What ever happened to being humble? Do you honestly believe that an Atheist can't live a moral life?

Hi, I have a question about fasting. I am a christian, and I know about fasting, but I cannot seem to find any specificics on the topic... When one is fasting I know we are suppose to put on a face as if we are going along with a normal day, and that we are to pray, but are we suppose to give up every meal and every drink? And what about habits? I smoke and am i suppose to give that up also. I do not want to be out of the will of God, and I want to do this right. it is important that I do this right..... because fasting is a very serious thing.... Please help and give me any scripture that may help me too.....many thanks..

I mean, those zany, madcap offbeat humourists who were so brave, so controversial as to make a film lampooning the life of Jesus.

How cool would it be if they reformed and did a "Life of Mohammed?"
