If adultery, blasphemy, and cheating on taxes are also sins, would the church question everyone about those things before it let them in? Or are they just picking on gays? Remember "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." I suppose everyone in church is perfect, then. Correct?

The word of God speaks! The Bible teaches us to cast no judgement, for we are not the ones that will judge. We will be judged for our actions. Man has not the power to judge any other human being, for we, as humans have no dominion or authority over other humans - that is at the discretion of our supreme being - "GOD"! True Christians respect others and know no hypocracy, because we are, therefore, equal as God made us all equal. As some people proclaim to live differently, they should be welcomed to join actively and freely to serve the Lord as others do, of whom are alike or different from they are. A church or Christian members that turn their back on other people who seek the church's support are in fact people who I believe will be greater scrutinized by God. We are to act as though Jesus once did; he knew no strangers and he accepted those who others would not - we should act just as that. We simply can not speak for the actions of others, for we can only speak for our own.

Christian children of God would accept couples as mentioned and further guidance from the good Lord above would be entertained. No one other than God knows the true feelings and character behind such parents, but as long as they actively seek God and "his" direction for their lives and not their own, then they should be welcomed with open arms and support!

Several of my friends (gay couples) have foster children through religious organizations. They do recieve support from those denominations. It may be as much the nature that the State and County are involved and both have a non-discrimination policy but for what ever reason it is helping bring the churches around to respect gay couples as parents.

Christians should welcome everyone - educate everyone - and allow everyone to repent.

In this story, certainly, the parents should be welcome into the support group. After all, it's a way for Christians to help other Christians follow Christ ... Additionally, children are treasured in Christianity --- so yes, this coming together of ppl is a blessing to all.

Sadly, the Adoptive Parents still would not be invited to the Eucharist until they are purified from sin through reconciliation of promising not to sin again. They would be welcome at Mass - and at RCIA classes for the child - always with open arms. Yes, they would get to endure us trying to help them as we do with all who reach out for salvation-some Chirstains are not as delicate as others in their helping ppl to salvation. Pro's and Con's to each personality type --- but bottom line, God loved us so much he sent his only begotten son to a virgin and foster father for everyone's salvation.

A TRUE CHRISTIAN would not allow this.
1. It is an abomination to the Lord.
2. It is a slap in the face of the mother/father family that God constructed.
3. If God condemns the practice of homosexuality, the church needs to follow suit.
Christians are called to OBEY the Word of God, not to compromise it for their lifestyle.

No.

The church believes that homosexuality is a sin. People who knowingly and intentionally live in sin should not be giving counsel or advice to anyone in regards to parenting. Gay or lesbian parents have nothing to offer in such a support group because they, themselves, are bad parents; living as an immoral example for their own children.

Just remember.... you asked...

God is against it, I am a Christian who stands on His word, therefore I am against it and I know my Chuch would not allow them to join. To allow this would be in support of it and it goes against the teachings of God.

Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them

Romans 1:25-29 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

yes

although some "christians" do not feel United Methodists or Unitarians, Universalists, or UU's fit their description of a christian

we treat people as Jesus would have, it's about the choice not about the person

our actions define us, not our "preferences"

love is the command, and the rest is commentary
