Without getting embarrased about it. I thought the Holy Spirit was supposed to elevate people to a ministry. Did they do and exhaustive job search?

In the Bible days people who predicted the future were stoned to death the first time they were wrong. How my people would predict the events of 2007 if this were still the practice today?

Or do you drink? Don't you realize you have been taken? Do you want to continue to be like cattle being led on? Come on now. Think for yourself. The Goddess was the orinator of the true Bible. that was when the world was peaceful and loving. Now we have a hateful war-mongering gangsta world...that is the false male bible result.

There were no animals or vegtables, and if he did not eat , and we were built in his image; why did he have teeth, stomach, esophigus, intestines, or a digestive system?
If he was fasting for umpteen zillion, quadrillion years, he indeed was some god.He didn't even have water.
No wonder he was asking for all those sacrifices later on.

I recently received these articles of clothing and was told these are clothes worn by Buddhist monks in Tibet. I'm trying to find out more about what each item is called and how they are worn. Would appreciate any help. http://new.photos.yahoo.com/elric_melnibone01/album/576460762381809295

Okay, so I've been oddly obsessed with what happens when you die latley...I know that death is a part of life itself but, when I think about I feel like I am being scared into believing in God. I AM NOT BASHING ANY RELIGIONS HERE! It's just, you know when your in a religion, what you believe just "clicks" with you? I have never really felt that way about Christianity. And now I scared that I'll go to Hell because of it. I feel like there is a God up there, but I don't see him as such a God that would send you to Hell for eternity. I would like to believe that we all get our own personal heavens to be in. I am scared about death and I know I shouldn't be....any suggestions/comments?

Some old history books are parents studied said Columbus discovered America. Then another said another guy.
It was on the net like a bunch of guys depending on who you ask.
Encarta, a computer set of encyclopedias has to be changed all the time because facts change so fast. History facts.
Depending on which country is telling the story. How could all religion be right? Since most teach that the other ones are all wrong. Someone has to be wrong? There can only be one truth.
So where is God? In the 6000 religions of Christendom?
In the 120 different branches of Islamic, quran kill the bad guy?
Or the elephant India mother earth wierdo. Or the buddist who preaches peace and we just learned they are any thing but?

I know that their are a zillion humanitarian organizations (helping hungry, homeless) with no religious affiliation and their are many such organizations with Christian affiliations but do other religions do this sort of work too? I don't mean evangelism. I just want to know about humaitarian relief. I ask because I have never been exposed to any other religions first hand. I am sure some Christian missionaries, as well as some practitioners of every religion, try to shove their beliefs down other peoples throats. But for the few ministries that I have been personally involved in, we did not make reigious affiliation a condition of revceiving help. Of course we would invite people to church, etc. but we did not demand anything. Our purpose was to show was the love of Christ to the world to and love everybody the way Jesus commanded us to (some Christians fail sometimes) . This is one reason I believe Christianity is worth merit. I just wondered if other religions are like this too.

There are more than enough resources on the planet. I don't understand why it is spoken of as a problem when in reality it is a choice. The ones with lots of things don't want to share. Anyone else feel that it is being painted as a problem to gloss over the fact that we are guilty of mismanagement as a human race?

I'm currently Anglican but I'm looking around for other denominations that may provide a more serious way of experiencing the Christian faith. I love Anglican liturgy and tradition but the Episcopalians' embrace of gay marriage and social liberalism is a big turn-off. I want a denomination that is morally serious about the big issues of the day but offers an elegant and majestic way of walking with Christ. I go now to a Baptist church but it's become almost like going to a lecture with the Powerpoint and such. So what denomination are you and what does that mean to you (what does being "Methodist" or "Presbyterian" mean to you and why is it special?

After all they are only accepting what another man tells them.I remember when science told us many different things than they tell us today. Many were in direct opposition to todays beliefs.Tomorrows will also be different, that is the nature of science, there seem to be no solid truths.

they have made their "imag"ined version of The Messiah their "god" as they go about "deceiving and being deceived".

together they are responsible for the murder of multiplied millions and throughout history have enslaved peoples to further their own cause, which is worldly domination ;-( they do this in spite of the admonition to "Love Your Enemies" and "love not the world" for "the WHOLE world is under the control of the evil one".......

yet, while there is breath(spirit) there is hope!

hope not for the religious systems of delusion and destruction, but there is hope for those who heed The Call to "Come out of her, MY people....." for they will come out of the worldly systems, especially the systems of religion.

yes there is hope, for Miracles do happen!

hope is there will be those who experience The Miracle that is "receiving a love of The Truth" for they will see The Light that is The Messiah.

peace, in spite of the dis-ease(darkness) that is of this wicked world.

Why is the history of life so filled with horrible suffering, blundering waste, and miserable failures? Why does the Christian "God" go through billions of years of such carnage without yet arriving at his goal?

My parents raised me to make my own choices concerning my spiritual path....and I have been looking for some time now for a religion that shares my particular view points. I stumbled across a book about wicca in the ladies room at work and began to read it. I have since returned the book and purchased some of my own....my question.... is there anyone in this section who has switched from christian to wiccan and how did you deal with your feelings during the switch and know it was the right religion for you? I was baptist before and they kinda brainwash you away from all other religions and I don't know any one to teach me the "old" ways or to explain how they apply the religion to thier day to day lives. If you know any websites or places for good info (not interested in black magick or evil type worship) please let me know. Thanks!
