There are more than enough resources on the planet. I don't understand why it is spoken of as a problem when in reality it is a choice. The ones with lots of things don't want to share. Anyone else feel that it is being painted as a problem to gloss over the fact that we are guilty of mismanagement as a human race?

I agree some people are not good with money and I am not espousing communism but we can lift the bottom line from starvation to existence.

I agree. If the rich gave their money to the poor, and the heavy eaters ate normally and gave the extra food to the starving... the world would be filled with many more happy humans.

Shouldn't we do that for 2007 on? It's about time we start caring and not being selfish! I've done volunteering for hundreds of hours at a hospital... we all should pitch in and do this sort of thing.

I wish problems were that easy. The fact is regardless how much you give, some people don't do well with money or their life. Many factors play into a person keeping food on their table.

Well, read Malthuse....in a nutshell, the more you feed people or even rabbits, the more those people (or rabbits) will reproduce and create more, and if you feed them, they'll make more, and so on and so on until there are far more mouths to feed than there is food to feed them.

Now, if you want to start a program where couples who have had two children or less receive free food that has birth control medication in it, then we could start talking.
