I recently received these articles of clothing and was told these are clothes worn by Buddhist monks in Tibet. I'm trying to find out more about what each item is called and how they are worn. Would appreciate any help. http://new.photos.yahoo.com/elric_melnibone01/album/576460762381809295

They could be but I don't think so. Monks robes are generally very basic and made of poor quality material.

The pics are a bit small and fuzzy so it's hard to make out the details but yes these appear to be ceremonial items a Tibetan lama might wear, maybe during a tantric empowerment or something. Plain Tibetan monks' robes look just like what you see His Holiness the Dalai Lama wear in day to day activity.

Keep running search engine searches or you might find a book on such things via Snow Lion publications website... I don't worry about what they wear so much, as long as they teach me, their words are more important to me, so I'm not of TOO much help here. Sorry.

Those look like the robes of the Head Monks in the Thailand temples (waats).

Suggest you go to a Thai chat group, and ask them.
