I don't think so eg.,if you have five men in a boat and four are cannibals what good is a democratic vote? We live in a republic for the aristocrasy supposedly now but some of us believe the rich rule from behind the scenes. An atheistic society could revamp our present system to give it new meaning it is failing in many ways .What do you think of referendum voting over the net?
there have to be other ideas to consider.
peaceout

Well I am a Metaphysical type a gal, and believe God is everywhere and is everything. So I beleive a Utopia type of political system would be quite nice. Socialism sounds kinda nice for a change.

Democracy is where everyone in a country votes on every matter. That is impracticle in anything other than a small city-state.

Good grief no! Have you heard of Stalinism?
Dictatorship is a perfect venue for atheism. It has no authority higher than power.

There has been communism, of course, but that was very bloody.
Death tolls:
Stalin: 40,000,000
Mao: 72,000,000
Cambodia: 2,500,000
Noam Chompsky, an atheist, advocates anarchical societies.

Nah, many atheists are libretarian or communist. A communist community makes sense, as long as you don't have a ruthless corrupt dictator. And no one slacks off.

That's right. And a dictatorship is the only model a Christian fundamentalist would adopt.
