There were no animals or vegtables, and if he did not eat , and we were built in his image; why did he have teeth, stomach, esophigus, intestines, or a digestive system?
If he was fasting for umpteen zillion, quadrillion years, he indeed was some god.He didn't even have water.
No wonder he was asking for all those sacrifices later on.

Oh. I see , He's a spirit who just floats around. Good thing because he also had leggs dangling around with no surface to walk on.
But no sense running around when there was nothing to see with those great big eyes. Especially in total darkness.
Wonder what he did with those big fingers, since there was nothing to pick up?---and those lips and toungue when there was nobody to talk to, or even a language.
He sure built himself a lot of unnecessary parts for a spirit, seems like he could have come up with a better design. He kinda sucks at being infallible.
Huh?

Cristians sure like to invent answers. I thought they were supposed to be the virtuous ones.
O.K. if NOW you say we were fibbing about being "in his image",Then will you please just choose which parts of him are similar to ours, so we can see if THEY match up

Did I mention the nose W/ nothing to smell, or the lungs w/ no air to breathe, the ears w/ no sound to hear, or the arms w/ nothing to lift?
And if we have hair to protect our organs from dirt and germs, what was his hair doing w/ no dirt or germs.
I can't seem to find those parts that are similar to ours.

THS TUFF99--- NOW how would YOU know my limitations, unless it is YOU who thinks he knows everything.
If you will notice, I make very few statments. I mostly ask questions.
These are the same honest questions you should be asking ,if you are indeed looking for TRUTH, and not looking for comfort in your insecure mind..Do you believe you own the truth?
Does it scare you when somebody asks an honest question?--If so, you should rethink some of your "knowledge".

2006-12-31 16:14:59 · update #11

If you think I'm pretending to have "knowledge", just read the many athoritative answers here. ---Who is talking down to who?---Who is pretending to have the answers.
Do you read any that say "I honestly don't know".--BTW I noticed you didn't plead ignorance either.

Well Dude, this question is what Christians call, another Mystery It is a Mystery and only God knows that answer. All the body parts that you mentioned are truely a creation of God the Father Almighty. They did not grow out of the Earth. But a true creation.

Not everyone is a Christian. Christians view God as a man, and some other religions have the tradition of not trying to define, limit, or create an image of God. Not all religions worry about what God looks like or what God does during spare time.

Their is a spiritual world beyond this material creation. It is not made of material elements nor is He and nor are we in actuality. WE are not these bodies: ie; race, color, nationality, religion, senses, intellect, etc. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul also known as Krishna Allah, Jehovah, etc. We have to reconnect to get beyond this Material illusion. Chanting the Maha Mantra is the Quickest and easies way. go to krishnaculrut. for details read Bhagavad Gita as It is By Bhaktativedanta Prabhupada

You make the mistake of ascribing humanity upon divinity (which happened in Yeshua's case). G-d created man in His "spiritual" image (an image being representative of). The scriptures teach that G-d is a spirit, that He has no need for that which humans have need of.

I dont believe in a God, i'm atheist.
If there were a god, he would not have to eat, I suppose.
Ask yourself this question. It's fun.
"If God is so powerful, then could he make a rock so heavy he couldnt lift it?"
If no--then he cant create EVERYTHING.
If yes--that means there IS something too great for God...
HA!

God didnt need to eat. We were built in His image, but that doesnt mean He needed to eat. God can do whatever He wants

And in my and my Bible History teacher's opinion, God was asking for sacrifices to test the Hebrew peoples's faith. if He made it easy, they wouldnt hav true faith.

God doesn't need to eat, and if he did... he has powers to make something to eat. He sent people who shall create tasty treats. Also, the earth was covered with water until God used his magic to make land, people and animals.

We are made in God's image not literally
we are made in his image by our qualities..granted they are qualities that are not godlike now like envy but that just means we are imperfect

God does not have limitations of survival
Ur thoughts of God are too human.
