Because some people honestly like upsetting others. They like to see what reaction they can get. Many of those who deliberately try to stir things up in these areas don't even agree with what they, themselves, are saying. They say it simply to get a reaction. They are intentionally being rude. It is fervently hoped that they will grow out of this immature phase quickly.
Of course, there are also others who are not trying to be rude, but whose opinions tend to irritate others. Because people's beliefs vary so widely, we are bound to unintentionally offend one another on a regular basis when we share them. These two categories offer places for folks to share what they believe to be true, so we're going to rub one another the wrong way in these categories.
Other things seem rude because you're particularly sensitive in that area.
Be sure to carefully sort through what you see in these categories and evaluate it clearly. If someone is obviously deliberately being offensive, please report it. If it's simply someone whose views clash with your own, take it with a grain of salt or explore your own views to see why you disagree. The we all can help one another grow.

They are on all categories. Religion and spirituality bring out more of them for different reasons. They may have a grudge against anything about God. They may just want to vent their frustration over the chaotic life they live, on and on.

I am not sure. It seems believing in a higher power or firmly believing there is not one makes many people self-centered and real... not nice people. Check out some of the replies to this question I recently posted. Religious or not some of these people are indeed very rude.

I think the ongoing war between the atheists and the Christians tends to bring out the worst in both groups.
(Yes - the Christians can be just as bad!)

Because you have the bad karma to live in a world where this occurs and the deluded thinking that they are "rude". Some people might not consider them rude, so how can they be inherently "rude" from their own side?

I don't believe that they are all rude, maybe some lack tact, but your perception might make you see them as rude because they do not agree with your religious belief(s)
