that is NOT christ-like behavior. Did jesus hate non-belivers? no, but he scolded mean religious hypocrites. Shame on phoney christians.

PLEASE RATE 1-10.

-- The kingdom is not in the sky nay the caves of the earth or deep within the sea. The Kingdom of God is within you and outside of you, all things that has life within it belongs to the Kingdom of God. Look up on the skys as it moves and gaze with awe as the creation of God is the Kingdom.

Pure joy and happines be unto you all!!!

I hope we all had a great day with friends and family.

I see quite a few of my favorite people on here tonight. Hayden Lyfe, The Dude, Red Eye Agnostic, and Godzilla. I hope your day was wonderful.

I was with my two dearest friends and our children. One is a Christian, one is an atheist, and I am an agnostic deist ( or so I have been told). We talk about religion and politics quite often and we all agree on most every issue. The existance of God is not a concern of ours.

I think that it is wonderful to embrace each other and our own personal beliefs because we respect and love each other.

Is it that way for you also?

Whether you're atheist, christian, muslim, buddhist, islam, etc. etc...do you believe in some kind of afterlife? Or do you think life ends RIGHT after we die, and that's it?

I don't care what people listen to, but I have friends who talk about how great the Bible is and then go listen to Nirvana or Tool or Smashing Pumpkins.

Nothing that shortens your life expectancy but just an operation to make yourself brain dead so that desire is not a problem.

ok, Judaism rejects jesus as the messiah.

Christianity believes Jesus was the messiah and/or god incarnate, and/or a "sacrifice for our sins" or something to that effect.

Now, Christians think Jesus is/was certain things.
now the Jews have one concept of what the messiah is/was and and is/was supposed to be.

if Jesus was the messiah that Judaism was looking for... why is it you think that they/we rejected him?

one reasoning I've heard people say, is that the jews were expecting a physical savior to save them from the romans and physically rebuild the temple and such, when it was really a spiritual savior.

but this doesn't actually make a bit of sense, as the jews already had/have that spiritual salvation, WITHOUT jesus.

it seems to me like the whole reasoning for why to believe in jesus is a big knot of misconceptions...

(a little bit to be added in a moment)

I just answered a question or two about this. Seems some think if 2 people make a mistake, the baby shouldn't suffer for it. So, that being said. Two morons have a kid. They can't or won't properly take care of it. They fight, drink, do drugs, abuse the baby, whatever. And you say this is OK? The baby is suffering here, get it. Do you really think that's fair to the kid??????

Obviously looking at facts, religious is a farce, totally false. Just look what's become of christianity there are so many sects. protestants, orthodox, roman catholic, ect. and in capitalist economies like the US it is used for commercial purposes. Likewise can be said of Islam, Shia, Sunni, ects, also used for propoganda at times. But nontheless it is interesting to learn where the Heaven-Hell, Good-Evil duel principle began, is it in our nature. Or because tribes in the ancient times were against each other and so they made up things saying the other tribe was evil while their tribe was good, ect.

I saw this quote and I do not want my son to believe most of what is recorded in the bible.

I have the belief that if you send a fundie to college, than you have no more fundie. I am not talking about a bible college, of course.

I met a bible college educated missionary with a degree. I asked him my favorite question for the fundies, "Did Gandhi go to heaven?". The answer should be, yes, of course. This man did not know who Gandhi was. How can a person go all the way through college and not know who Gandhi was?
