I have newspapers, and print outs of articles. Many contain Islamic Surahs, or recitations. Is there a proper way to dipose of them?

If they contain general islamic articles and informations then it's alright to dispose them anyway you'd like. But, if they contain pieces of quraan's words or the name of Allah, then the only way to dispose it is to burn it; as you can't just throw that in a garbage can. But the best way, whether it had islamic subjects within or not, is to simply give them to the factory that recycles them - be friendly to nature, nature will be friendly to you =P hope that helped

Yes there is a proper way to dispose Qura`nic recitations and that is to BURN THEM. please do not throw them away in trash or whatever else as some members suggested as it is forbidden because it is holly and have Allah's name on it. The only proper way is burning them seeing as this way they just vanish.

Well i dont think you should dispose them just keep them somewhere safe or even better u said it contain surahs donate them the the mosque or someone (muslim).!!!*

I am a christian but I have a respect for other religions.
I take it that you aren't muslim. If you don't happen to have a muslim friend you can ask, hatever church you are a member of - ask your pastor what to do with the papers because they should have a respect for other religions too.
If you can't do that, ask you local library.

2nd the better way is to give them to a mosque or to a muslim friend if u have...

do you hesitate to destroy because they are holy? I never throw away a Bible for that reason. It is holy. I give them away to Goodwill.
